Rec'd call from "Rebecca" from my Credit Card company (no identification of company name) asking me to press "9" to reduce my interest rate to 6.9%. Since I don't have any charges on my credit card - I'm questioning that this is a valid call or a scam to get me to enter personal information.

I just got a call from this number today...no one left a message.
I think this company is a scam job most likely.
If you get this number on your caller ID just erase it and forget it!
The other thing you could do is report it to better bussiness bureau.

Call to land line at 1:29 p.m.
Caller waited four rings to hear my A/M spiel but left no message on my machine.

Got a call from this number and when I asked who was calling, please the black man hung up. Definitely a scam! I'm tired of this kind of harrassment.

These people have been calling my office for over a year. I actually got off of their call list for a couple of months, but they are back. They will usually call about 4 times per day, but their personal best was 7 times, and using the automated system to be removed from their list obviously does not work. When you push 9 to actually talk to a person they hang up on you. If I could figure out the name of this company I would most likely take some kind of legal action. As least file a harrassment claim. I can not even count the amount of time I've spent trying to get them to stop calling here.

Got it too. These are always scams...trying to get information from you for identity theft. Now how to track who they are...

542 isn't even a valid area code
000 isn't a valid prefix
These guys are definitely trying to hide, and doing a good job of it. Why...because they are NOT on the up and up, and they have something to hide.
