Another number used by someone calling and saying "Grandma?".  Luckily my mother is smarter than most and a few minutes into the conversation she told me to get on the other line as she did not think the caller was one of her grandchildren.
The scam is that someone calls and says grandma/grandpa and waits for the receiver to say "is this so and so" to which they answer "yes".  Eventually the caller will get around to asking for money to be sent because they are in some kind of trouble.
I think the caller heard my mom tell me to get on the other phone and they hung up.  Unbeknownst to the caller, the person my mother thought they were is unable to make calls so she got suspicious when they said they were in Mexico.
