Has called 3 days in a row at 7 a.m. and last Sat. at:30 a.m.

Annoying caller from India or Pakistan saying they are calling from Microsoft to inform me that they are receiving a lot of errors from my computer and they wanted to talk about that.  I immediately told them to never call back and that I was going to file a complaint against them.  The caller said "no, no, no, no -- don't do that"  and then hung up.  

Got the same call, when answered asked if this was my name, and I said yes, and they hung up?????

They call EVERYDAY. I told them what losers they are when they say my 'computer has a virus'. I told them I am having the call traced & they immediately hang up.

Hindu accent.  Sounded like he was reading from script.  Hesitated everytime I answered.  May have said he was calling from Microsoft regarding my Microsoft computer. Basically said they have been getting information that my computer may have a suspicious malware invasion.  I talked real fast and told him my computer was just fine and that I didn't need  his help and not to call again.  No answer.  I don't think he understood everything I said since it was so fast.  Gotta have some fun.  No one has this number since I don't use the phone!  Only Comcast could have given it out other than maybe a previous owner.  Just decided to answer it for kicks since I've seen the number before.  Guess I was bored.  Next time, use a whistle when you answer.  You know, the kind you blow into.  : )

truly scumbag scammers pretending to be Microsoft, and promising to fix viruses on your computer. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION whatsoever, and that includes your name. they are a total rip-off from out of country (i.e., not from America) so the DNC cannot help you. They are breaking the law, yes, but since they're not even based in America, the law doesn't mean jack squat.

These jerk offs called tonight. Initially spoke with my wife, she likes messing with telemarketers so she was on the phone for a bit. Told them she didn't trust this was a legit call. Asked for a number we could call them back at and where they were located. He gave us a number of 813-441-3828 and said they were in Brooklyn, NY. Area code is in Tampa, FL. They called back about two mins later and spoke with me. I explained to them that I have been working IT for a major US bank here in the midwest and I have my degree in Information Technology. Asked if he could just tell me over the phone where I can locate these "germs" they detected. He was getting frustrated and said he couldn't tell me because I "was not technical". So I stated again that I have a background in IT and I would be more than capable to do this maintenance. He started stammering over his words and hung up.

My number is listed on the donotcall registry, and this telemarketer calls repeatedly. Not acceptable.

these creeps keep calling at 7 in the morning saying they are with a technical department for computers.  i doubt the guy from pakistan or india understands english because i told him what he could with his mother and he said ok.  can't block the number as att doesn't recognize it.   since reading the other posts, I have had problems with my wireless router since they started calling.....not sure if it's related.

these creeps keep calling me at 7 in the morning telling me they are calling about my computer.  I've told them repeatedly to stop calling but I don't think the guy from pakistan or india on the other end of the phone speaks english.  my call blocking service doesn't recognize the number so i can't block them.

This number called and said they were a Microsoft representative and they noticed our computer was sending a lot of error reports. He said he wanted to help remove a virus from my computer.  I could not understand much of what he was saying since he had a very heavy accent.  He transferred me to a supervisor but I couldn't understand him either. However, I knew this was a fraudulent call.  I tried calling the number back and it was not a good number.

Just got a call from this number. Said hello 3 times then a robo voice said something i couldn't make out. Sounded like "Uh-oh" and then they hung up. As I'm writing this, I've had AVG security scan scanning my comp all morning after I heard gmail and facebook were hacked for passwords. Before scanning I had no threats. Immediately after the call I have 5 threats according to AVG. I find this odd as they only way my phone can communicate with my comp is either through blutooth or wifi, both of which I highly doubt were involved. I'm thinking coincidence.

Called this morning at about 9 with a heavy Indian accent claiming to help me fix my Microsoft computer.  As I am an IT specialist and know nothing is wrong with my computer, I just told him that I owned a Mac. He was silent then hung up.

I am on the do not call list and this telemarketer calls any way several times a day!

I've been getting calls from this number at least twice a week.  I have blocked them on my iPhone.

received a call from 555.557.8786 the man with a India accent tells me that my computers are infected with a virus and says if I do what he tells me to do to the computer it will show me the problems then he will tell me how to fix it.
I declined!

This number calls my home twice a day during the week. Today at 7:49 AM they called on Saturday. Not acceptable!

My 83 y/o mother got a call from this # at 7:30 this morning. Caller with a very strong accent stated he was from Microsoft. Mom said there was so much noise in the background and, with his heavy accent, she couldn't understand a word he said other than he wanted to know if her computer was on. Since she couldn't understand him, she asked for a number to call him back and he hung up stating that he would call her later. I keep telling her not to answer calls from numbers she doesn't recognize, but it's hard to get that through her head. Glad for this forum so I can show it to her and prove what kind of damage that can lead to. Thanks everyone!

Do not answer a call from this number.....especially when you are near or within proximity to your electronics as your devices are emitting an intermittent signal and a response from their system on the other end of the telephone. Once the signal is confirmed, they can gain access and unleash the horrors that this thread has described. Just don't answer your telephone from this number or any other private or blocked number while you are near your electronic devices. Eventually they will get shut-down. They have used disgusting language with me in the past as I understand their motives and their scare tactics. Protect yourself, your family, your friends/neighbors, and your devices....use very strong passwords....make-up a sentence and use the letters, numbers, and special characters within the sentence.

This number has been calling me almost constantly lately - I just wish they'd get the hint already and give up trying to call me!

called my house today, left no message when answering machine picked up, I called # back, it said I had dialed a wrong # and the call could not go through.

4th call from this number within 4 hours.  No one on the line and the line is dropped immediately.  This is really getting old!!!

I have got this call over 7 times today. To be exact i got 7 times within a 4 hr period. The number is (555) 557-8786. I said hello the first time and then the second time i have said hello there  was a robot telling me goodbye. This is getting old real old

Someone called from this number one second before Caller ID changed to a "Private Caller" with a blanked number. Did not answer the call, googled the number, brought me here.

That's not why I'm writing this.

I'm writing this because three days prior, my mom was using her laptop and talking on the phone. She got an incoming call on the other line and switched over. A man with a heavy accent, possibly Indian, that she couldn't understand asked her questions about Windows. The guy who fixes our physical windows is Indian, so she thought nothing of it and told him to call back at another time. As she is pulling the phone away to go back to the other line, he says "I have f*ck you." He repeats it much louder when my mom asked him what he said. At that instant her computer bricked. It will no longer turn on and power is not getting to the battery according to the lights. No error codes from the manufacturer are displayed, just a flashing light on the power button and the screen brightness power saver indicator.

Whoever these guys are, this a new scam, I'm sure of it. I'm guessing he wanted to extort money in exchange for not destroying computers. From the sounds of the other issues, he might have some sort of kill switch on his end waiting for a command. Worst part: at no time did we ever give him control. We did nothing he told us to and this happened. Geek Squad said it was just a coincidence but this thread proves otherwise.

I got a call from this number from a person claiming to be with the windows tech support. This person wanted me to access my run screen and open the file with a name he provided. He had an accent that sounded India yet he claims his name was Tony. There seemed to be a lot of noise from a network of people in the background. He gave me a number that was different from the caller ID. The call was  very suspicious and unprofessional.

A warning came up on my Windows computer as I was using it that it needed to be debugged and seconds later I got a phone call from this number from a supposed Microsoft technician saying he needed me to get on my computer and was very pushy and rude.  It was very disconcerting that he seemed to know that I had been on my computer.  All this since I just changed my Wifi router to a new updated one and was feeling good about that.  It is very creepy to think somebody knew I was on my computer--- like they were hacking while we were on the phone.

Add to your contacts on cell as spam--then block

foreign smucks claiming to be from Windows Support Center.  Do not give these people any personal info nor computer IP info.  This is not related to anything Microsoft and MS does not randomly call people to support you.
