I got an email from "Robert Reed" after applying for a job on Craigslist. It has to be a scam, it even went to my spam box. I applied for a Receptionist/Office Admin. position at a hospice facility. I get a response back telling me that position has been filled, but there is another opening as his personal assistant. He says how he had one he found on CL who is moving on with her life (translation: she is buried in the back yard now) and he is crushed and I sound like I would be perfect. I would be going to warehouses (to be disclosed later) requiring me to sample things, shop, mail item, open packages. He will provide UPS accounts. He wanted my physical home address also. Any 3 days/wk. I pick from 9-1pm @ $400/wk. The email had too many errors to be professional. I filtered it and blocked his number from my cell. This is why I NEVER put my address on my resume, no matter what the "experts" tell you to do!

I applied for a job on LA Craigslist.  The address I replied to was  marketstaff@mailmight.com.  I got the same email you got from a "Noah Theobald" with a stated phone number of 281-862-8719.

Today the same ad I replied to is listed on Maine Craigslist: http://maine.craigslist.org/ofc/4426950039.html  However the reply email for this ad is  walidkhandaker@gmail.com.

Glad I googled this scammer's name. I got this exact email today after replying a office admistrator add in Craiglist. Thanks for your help and I hope no one gets involve in this dirty mess.

So if you gave them your information such as your name and address that means you have to be extra careful with your home because that means they can try to break in to it?

I got the same message and received the the of $2,700, went to deposit the check and they found out it was fake..good thing i didn't use my money or else i wouldve lost it.

I actually answered to the email and just realize its fake. These scam artist are out of control.

I received the same email only the pay was $400/week.  Glad to know this is a scam.  The fact that I received the email in the middle of the night was my first clue that it might be a scam of some sort.  Its sad to know that a person can search for a job without having to worry about pathetic scammers that are trying to steal our information!!

So I responded I was interested but needed more information and that my info was already on my resume. So I got this second email with a different number attached.....  Neither seemed right so I looked up the numbers.  Second number is new and has nothing listed.

No I did not cash the check, I did take it to my bank and they determined it was indeed a FAKE check. I emailed this person whoever it is and told him I was reporting him to the authorities. As soon as I left the bank I went straight to my local police station with the check and filed and report with a fraud detective due to sending a fraudulent check in the mail is FEDERAL OFFENSE as well as POSTAL FRAUD. They are currently investigating it due to the emails I saved and turned over to them, they can trace the IP address duhhhhhh! As well as the phone # even though it is a magic jack #.  Who ever this person is, is looking at some federal jail time!

I received and email from a man calming to be "Oscar" asking if I would get it mail from him and such and he would pay me 350 a week. this number was a reference number. I will not contact it!

I got the same email from a Luis Rodney I called the number and someone answered it was really sketchy he said not to contact him again until I received a package
