I received a similar call - but the very thick accent was the dead give away that this is a scammer.  Here's what I did and will continue to do at least once a day until I'm bored with it.  Thank to websites like this, I copied the "script" and replayed his message to make sure I had it word for word.  Then I called him back, and in my worst Indian accent, read the script word for word, ending with the "get ready for the legal trouble".  The rest of my calls I blast either "Call Me Maybe" or "Crazy B***h".....figure I'll drive him crazy trying to go thru his voice messages LOL

Got a call from Robert woods this saying that I am being sued and I was to contact him back at this number 5612357900 and if I do not that I will be facing a lot of legal matter and that he is going to send papers to my job and credit companys

I had this call today, same EXACT conversation as everyone else.  I had answers for everything he had to say, explained to him that I actually work in my payroll department and am responsible for the garnishments.  So if he wanted to go ahead and send them to me, that would be great.........he hung up, lol

Called Mr Robert Woods desk. He was in the car. Informed me that my account was sold to them by Midland Financial. Informed him that I am a collector for this company. So therefore I could not have a debt with them and still work from them. Also informed him that the company works with Calvin and Travis and there is no Robert Woods that works for them. Also informed him that he did not give the standard "This is an attemp to collect a debt" Which just made this call illegal. Also informed him that the message he left. Is highly illegal. He kindly hung up on me. And the phone is now going to voicemail. Please do not try to pay this $486.00 dollars. They use this amount due to the fact that they are trying to stay under the Federal Prosecution limit. I will continue to call this number back at least 20 times a day and see how they like it. He also stated all of the Payday loan companies. Thanks to outsourcing and these loans now everyone in the Middle East now has our private information. I advise everyone to keep calling this number back at least 10 times a day. Until they get the message. This scam is not working! Also he goes by the name of Anthony Freedman. Just called Mr Woods 53 times in the last hour. He did not answer his phone. I guess he doesnt want his money. Im on vacation until the 7th. So I will continue with the 50 calls a day to him until the number is disconnected, According to the voicemail. This is a Sprint phone. Call Sprint also and inform them of both numbers that are calling you. I contacted them and the authorities. Also give them this website so that they can see the complaints. Dont be a victim. this low life jerk is running a scam and somthing need's to be done i have receivce the same call its really geting old he is going to call the wrong person one time and they are going to be smarter then he think's he is.

Just got a call from him, but he was looking for the previous owner of my new phone number. I called back and told him she wasn't available at this number anymore and that I didn't know who she is, where she is, or how to reach her. Then Robert Wood, the guy with the thick subcontinent accent who answered the phone, proceeded to burp in my ear! He didn't even say excuse me! It was so bad I thought I could almost smell it through the phone! This is the 2nd time since April he's called me looking for this girl, but then again, she has multiple creditors looking for her, so I didn't think it was strange until I looked up the number and found this site.

Caller said his name was Robert Wood. He was clearly not a white guy. Said he worked for Travis Collin Law firm. Pretty much said same thing as other posts, would sue, garnish wages, etc.   Never said what company I supposedly owed.

I just got a call from this number and he never left his name but stated if I didn't call back within 2 days they would garnish my wages and good luck with finding an attorney..REALLY?  Before he hung up I told him "thank you very much you have now stayed on the phone long enough for the police to record this message"..never heard from again.

GOT A CALL FROM ROBERT WOOD FROM SCOTT TRAVIS LAW FIRM. SAYING THEY WERE GOING TO GARNISH MY WAGES.  I HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AND DO NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE.

Just received a call from Scott Travis......identical to all the other calls....really needs to change his
script.    I logged on to C3    The Internet Criminal Division of the FBI and left his number and name.
I have received threatening emails written in a language I can not decode....but they have left their
addresses on Yahoo and Google.   Definitely a Scam...they won't send any paperwork....Want your Debit
Card.

The best thing for all of us to do is to publish widely on this scam and make a firm Police Report on this.. and as well as to FBI, Currently Nigeria is the biggest and smartest criminal in the world... beware ...

There is no use calling and reporting this number I called to report it and was told that the calls are coming from over sea's so our government can't stop them I think it's crap my husband and I work very hard for the very little that we have and we have troops fighting everyday for or freedoms and yet our government can't fight a battle for us to not be harassed and taken advantage of

this Robert Wood has left several messages on my son's cell phone saying the same thing, 2 days to call back, going to garnish wages and report to credit bureau.. i called and talked to this guy and told him he was calling my "minor" child's cell phone and if he continued i would counter sue for harrassment.. we will see if he calls again

i got a call yesterday as well....saying he was going to take me to court...i dont know how he got my info but he left me a nasty vm ... so i called him back no ancer but i left him a nasty vm as well .....scam

I just got this call today too from a Robert. I am glad I looked up the # first, because it really scared me. I did once take out a Pay Day loan and never advise doing it. They are a scam and kept renewing my loan and charging me even though I didn't ask them too. I finally got them to stop and I paid it all in full. I think they give your info out to people like this # that scam you for more money.

I just got a call  from phone number 561-235-7230_ said the same thing. Threatend me with a law suite etc. The man said he was robert wood and had a strong Indian voice.  I called th ohio attorney general office to report him.

This exact thing happened to me- I didnt go through with the payday loan on line and about a week later the threatning phone calls started. This is very disturbing.   always says good luck at the end of the message. He even told me to shut up when I acutally answered one of his phone calls!!

I have received 4 calls from this man threatning me saying I owe from a payday loan co.  Its a lie.  He is very threatning and has actually told me to shut up.  Threatning to garnish my wages.  I have never taken out a payday loan and am tired of this man calling me.

Received same call from someone claiming to be Robert Wood from Scarland Travis Law Firm. The threat of wage garnishment, if not heard from in two days, same as many of the other callers have received.  This isn't the first time I have received this type of call saying either I or my attorney needs to call within two days.  My daughter works for an attorney and called them back before insisting on talking to the individual that left the message and they wouldn't connect her.  They actually got angry, and hung up on her.

They called me today & left a nasty message like the others, stating I have 48 hrs to contact them or they will be contacting my emplyer and begin garnishment.  It was a man with a heavy accent.  He didn't state where he was calling from.

I received the same message today from the same number 561-235-7230, stating same thing.  They are all scamers... This is horrible that people can do this.  I will be reporting this to Florida FBI also.  I will not call them back what so ever.... lets see what they do.

Called me and told me I had five days to have my lawyer get ahold of them or I would be facing several criminal charges.  told me I was gonnal have my paychecks garneshed for a debt of $489.00.  The debt was from a place called midland financial. Ive never heard of them.  They tried doing this a few months ago to me also.
