Same call, same names and company.  Same threats.  Did leave any information that looks like he really had any info other than phone number.

I just got the same message from "Robert Wood" and it freaked me out. I understand now that it's a scam, but what do I do to completely stop it?

No it is not legit. They are a scam. They call any number they can get. What they are saying is illegal

He keeps calling me and i just laugh at him. I'm 13 and I'm pretty sure i don't own anyone money. Plus he calls for "Jasmine Johnson" and that's not me so...

I received the same call as everyone else has posted.  But when I called the number back it is disconnected number.

I called the number too, left message that I would sue him for harassment and 3rd party disclosure. haven't got a return call from him.

ofcourse it is a scam. when they leave message for anyone to hear, is called 3rdparty disclosure. illegal and a lawyer can sue in your behalf. also, a legit co. will serve notice via sherriff marshall a judgement, which is the only thing a payrole can use to deduct from your paycheck.

He said he is with law firm Calvin and Travis and they are going to sue me, they don't say for what, and he also
says he has my ss# and address and if I do not call him back within 2 days he will get a hold of my payroll
department and garnish my wages.
There has to be a way to stop this kind of harrassment.

I received the same exact call.  It appears to be a scam, they called for a while, about 6 months ago and then, it stopped.  Nothing happened.  They gave the limit of 2 days, to respond to him.  So, I will not respond and take my chances.  Thanks to everyone for the information.

Called at 7am (which is illegal) left some one else's info on my cell. Said his name is Robert woods. Said I had two days and they will sue me. Any legit company would not leave personal info on a voice mail. It is a scam. I have reported to FTC and better business bureau. Do not fall for it!

Same thing. I have contacted The Florida State Attorney Generals Office, The Pennsylvania State Attorney Generals office and the local police. I have never received any paperwork on this, have never heard of this company and I have no idea what they are talking about.
On my caller ID the number shows up as 718-407-6378 but they want me to call 561-235-7900.
Complete Scam.

I received the same message. I reported call to local police and state police. I was took to ignore the calls. Why can't this be stop? they call multiple times a day stating a warrant for my arrest and garnish my wages.

Got the same threatening call today as everyone else. Threatening suit, punishmnet by law, garnishing wages, etc. Glad I looked up to see what the number was and see all the info. about this being a scam. I will be notifying all the proper authorities.

Same name, same message as everyone else.  Called the guy and told him I have no outstanding debt and I would hire an attorney if necessary .  He promptly hung up the phone, muttering something about mailing me the information on the debt.   We'll see if he follows through.

Scammers.  I made a mistake of inquiring about a payday loan over 8 years ago.  Stupid me.  Never got the loan, but now my info is floating around out there.  So many scammers call me now.  I just keep demanding information and calling them back over and over. They lose interest and leave me alone now.

RECIEVED CALL REPORTING IF NOT CALLED WITHIN TWO DAYS WOULD TURN OVER TO LEGAL SYSTEM. NEVER STATED THE AMOUNT OR COMPANY HE IS WITH. JUST THREATS TO LEGAL ISSUES.

It's a scam.  I receive the same calls every day and all from different numbers and Restricted and Unavailable.  Don't let these low-lifes scare you into thinking that you are getting sued just because they say they have the social security number and last 4 digits of a checking account.  They have been doing this to me for over 2 years.  They are not from this country and actually know someone who had contacted 7 on your side a few years ago and they traced the calls to Brazil.  I reported them to my local police last year but there is nothing that can be done to stop the calls besides changing numbers.

Got a call from this number, showed up as "Restricted". Said his name was Robert Woods and that I was being sued. If I did not return the call within 2 business days, I was to "get ready for the leagl trouble".

Tried to scam a false debt collection

I just got a call from a Robert Wood claiming they were going to sue me and put a garnishment through my payroll department.  IDiot
