The phone number calls my mobile phone twice a day. I've ignored the call since I don't know the number, but reports say it is a number to be ignored.

Just got a call from this number 561-240-5425 @ 8:30 p.m.  on my cell phone...... didn't answer it. They didn't leave message and I didn't try back. Have no idea what comp. it is. Can;t be a debt collector unless they got the wrong number.

Just received a call from the same number (561-240-5425).  It's a recorded solicitation for health insurance.

8-18-10 Received a call on my cellphone, prerecorded(?) female voice asked if I pay for my own health insurance. I agree with Ryan and Traci above, it's an invalid phone number and likely a fraud. Steer clear, stay safe.

Got call - it was a recording asking if I wanted a quote on health insurance.  I waited it out and took the "do not call" option that came at the very end.

I do the same - silent ring is perfect.

This number keeps calling me at least 2 to 3 times a day.

Got a call from this # on my cell phone- I didn't pick up the call, but it left a voicemail. It was a recorded telemarketing call for health insurance quotes. These guys must have changed their # b/c I remember them calling me some months ago from a diff # with the same recording. I reported it to do not call.org.... they probably got a lot of complaints so they started over with another spoofed #. I will report it again...I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I got a call on my cellphone from this number and when I picked-up there was a recording about health insurance. anyway to identify who the caller is? I thought solicitors were barred from calling cellphone numbers.

Got a call from this yesterday.  Female recording starts off asking if I pay for health insurance.  I'm in 561 and the call is from 561.

Me thinks telemarketers are beginning to spoof area codes to match the called number to trick people into answering.  I run a business from my phone so I can't just ignore unknown calls from my area code.  This sucks.

Just got a call from this number. No message left. When I called it back, the message was "this number is not allocated". Whatever that means.

I just got the call but did not answer. I never answer a call from a number I do not know. I check here or some other site like this one to see if others have gotten such a call.

If I get the call to my cell phone I save the number and assign no ring tone to it. That way I will not know when the call comes in and do not answer it.

missed a called from 561-240-5425 on 8/1/10 @ 12:59pm & no message was left. They haven't called back yet. I am guessing a collection agency since it was the 1st of the month?
I did a Google search online and found that this is not even a valid telephone number:

561-240-5425 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID.

I got the call too; a few hours ago. I didn't answer as well.   I don't think its collections bc they have nothing to collect from me.  Ive never received a solicitation call from a 561 # but I guess there's a first time for everything.  This number does seem VERY familiar...

its the police dept for a donation.
