please stop.They keep calling but ,the phone rings three times and they hang up.I requested various phone researching agencies for assistance to put an end to said calls.I do not have any issues with anyone, stop the harassment!

This number is now being used by a company selling advertising.  Perhaps they are related to previous debt collection company, as they are also rude on phone.

Been getting these calls for a while now, never left voicemails I figured I'd ring them back and see what the haps is. Lovely Victoria answered 'Focus Financial Group, how can I help you?' So I politely asked if she could inform me as to why the were incessantly calling. She asked for my phone number, I gave it, she mentioned the name of someone who sounded vaguely familiar, I informed her they would not find that person by calling me, she told me she'd remove me from the list and it could have been a mistake as to why I was added in the first place.

TL;DR: call them back and tell them to remove you.

Your reply clearly displays your ignorance-if your
bill was 'paid in full', as you allege, then it doesn't
go to collections.  If it was paid, then what difference
does it make that your employer switched insurance?
Likely what happened is your new insurance never got
billed-so your bill was NOT paid-because you never
gave the provider the proper coverage info. Knowing
how to identify the problem is critical to getting insurance
claims paid; you clearly were unable to identify the problem.
People who THINK they know what they are talking
about but actually don't-just like you-become victims
of their own ignorance and end up with bad credit when it didn't
have to happen.  Give the correct insurance info; problem solved.

THEY JUST CALLED AND ASKED FOR A NAME, I ASKED WHO IS THIS AND WHERE ARE YOU CALLING FROM? THEY WOULDN'T GIVE INFO, GOT SMART, ASKED IF I HAD POWER OF ATTORNEY TO SPEAK FOR PERSON, ETC ETC I JUST HUNG UP.

They called  me at work and had my ss# and my birthdate trying to collect an ER bill for my daughter from  a year ago. But the address they had was wrong and no I would not give them my correct address because they wouldn't give me any more information. No amount due, no copies of collection notices, nothing. The guy laughed and called me a liar. Professional? Um no! How did this company collect a debt amount from lawyers when they are the one collecting the DEBT? And since when does a debt collection agency file paperwork with YOUR insurance company or any insurance company? They pay a few cents on the dollar to buy these "debts" from hospitals. It's not their job to inform YOUR insurance company. You must have some great insurance to cover $120,000 for a surgery!?!?

I think this company is ridiclous. My billed was paid IN FULL and they still call because they can't understand my corporation changed insurance companies so the info they have is not recent nor correct! Very ignorant to deal with these people when there are people who actually pay their bills. Even sending the proof wasn't enough. So yes debt collecting is legal but get the correct info before harassing people. And they try to hide their identity and use rude scare tactics for what? Threatening me to go through my credit? Really? Takes a certain type of person to take on a debt collector job and I'm quite sure these "do gooders" are just like every normal hard working person and may have issues of their own but why taunt people via the phone being rude?

1.  I don't see where you mentioned your name-so who's the coward?
2.  Debt Collection is 100% legal.  Please review the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977.
3.  You cite no specific law being violated, most likely due to 'Uneducation' of what the law actually is.
4.  If you're going to open your mouth, at least know what you're talking about, so you don't sound
    like an uneducated coward!
5.  Pay you bills, and debt collectors wouldn't have to call you at all!

I got a call from her and the lady was looking for Mr. Howard. I said you have the wrong number. The lady was so mean. She said "I know this is the right number cuz i called this number in Jan 25 and spoke to Mr. Howard" to which i responded "nope, you didn't" and then she said "I don't got time for this".  
How dare she call me by mistake and then be at me. shiiiiit

It is a legitimate collection agency ( Focus Financial) which specializes in hospital debt. If they call you, its for a reason. They are not scammers just people trying to get the money you scammed for free services at the hospital or doctors office. Pay your bills and maybe you would stop getting calls from debt collectors.

Just got a call from this number...the rudest and most ignorant man ever!  If they are in the business of collecting money, how do they ever get it?  Seems this is the same issue every other person commenting on here has with this company.

I got a call from the same numner. They asked if I knew "Gary Wood". I said no and they hung up???

This f***er called for someone that apparently used to have the same number some years ago.  I tried to explain that I get a lot of calls for this person and I don't even know who they are, please take my number off your list.  He interrupts with "I didn't ask for your life story .."

THERE IS A WAY TO BLOCK THESE CALLS (ALMOST)  All cellphones allow you to assign a ringtone to a specific number.  This way your spouse or kids can have their own ringtones so you can tell its them when they call.  If you save the incoming number, name it "telemarketer" or "DON'T ANSWER" and assign it a ringtone of "silent" the calls will come in, but they won't bother you during a meeting, dinner or television show.  Even if you are on the line, if they calls comes in it will be identified as "telemarketer" or "DON'T ANSWER" and you will know not to click over to it.  

I even created a category in my cellphone phonebook called "telemarketers" so my real phonebook is not cluttered up with these jerks.  The only thing you have to be careful of is picking up the phone to call someone and accidently answering an incoming telemarketer call because it didn't ring.

This is a great way to manage this problem without losing your mind (which is what they want you to do.)
