These people keep calling my cell phone... I have asked them not to call but they still do.  I just got a call from them again and I called back and told them DO NOT CALL MY NUMBER AGAIN.  IF YOU CALL AGAIN I WILL REPORT YOU!.

I keep getting these same calls from 561-277-8554 and I am also on the "Do Not Call" Register. I know these telemarketers are trying to make a living too but please pay attention to the Do Not Call Register.  It is starting to seem like that register isn't doing it's job!  Frustrated!

Got this number on my prepaid cell phone.  Let's see.  The prepaid cell is for when I am out and about, and not even my friends or family know the number to the prepaid cell.  Everyone calls my house (land line) phone. which does have call forwarding (You do recall those desk only phones with the wire that goes to the wall.)

So, why would I get a call from a phone number that only I know the number to?  Obviously, a number from a telemarketing call center.  The kicker here is that I did place my prepaid Virgin Mobile number on the national Do Not Call registry.  So, with the previous sentence mentioned, why would I get telemarketing calls?  Apparently, someone needs some law firm therapy here.  As in I get to garnish some company's checking account.

Well, I thought that back in 2003, or whenever the Do Not Call rule was set up, that the Consumer made it clear on one thing: We Do NOT like telemarketing calls.  And with the prepaid cell phones in very common usage nowadays, to call someone simply because some business executive is Entitled to a bonus is nonsense.  And I am thinking of Stronger terms, perhaps words that if typed, would irritate the viewer of this since it is words that you do not want your young son or daughter (under 15,) to view.

At any rate, this is enough from me. But I did retry, and got a recording.  Perhaps some "Phone Bombing" would help this outfit get a clue.

As for "Phone Bombing," well, FBI and DHS, DO Not trip on those previous two words.  I Do Not mean that phrase in the Literal Sense, but rather a bunch of people, in a coordinated sense, making an mass effort to call this call center up, with the intent to use as many lines as to stop or lower the amount of robot calls.


Geez! I do recall the days when the CB radio was king.  Google search CB radio, my younger readers of this and you can see a valuable tool to cause problems for telemarketing call centers.  And God help them if a pack of Ham Radio operators decide to "Phone Bomb" a call center!  LOL, and take it easy!

Finally answered the call.  It is Education Advisors.  When searching for Jobs/Career opportunities you fill out some info.  it then gets funneled to these people.  The are 100% commission based.  Bottom line--when asked if you completed high school or have a GED- ANSWER NO!  They will take you off calling list.

I have an unlisted, unpublished number and when I called the number back from my caller ID, she said hello, can I speak to James?" I said, "NO, I called you." "I have an unlisted, unpublished number and I would appreciate it if you didn't call me again." Her response, "Have a nice day"

Received a call from an unknown number. I do not want to answer the call when it is some one I never received a call from. The only people who are supposed to have my number is family and friends. There are so many scams out her now a days I do not trust any body. It is a Florida number by the way. i did not call back but after this I know better.

It's Education Advisors - they were calling my office number (!) every day for 2 weeks until I just called them this morning on the advice of other posters. Don't know what the call was for, but it sounded like telemarketers and they cannot be calling my office.
It might take a couple of tries to get them, I was hung on once and it rang and rang the second time, but the gentleman I spoke with just now took my number down and assured me they would not contact my office any more.
I can't imagine having that job, but if you're patient with them, my experience in getting my number removed from their call list was not unpleasant.

They've called my office number every day for the past 2 weeks and never left a message.

Education Advisors is who answered the phone when I called them back. They keep calling my cell phone but will not tell me how they got the number. I have repeatedly told them to remove my number from their database but they don't. Told them again this morning to remove my number and that I was recording the call so if they call back again, I will report them to the gA Public Service Commissioner's Office and the FCC.
