Received a call from 561-296-1945.  Caller id said 'West Palm Be FL'.  I've received the same calls from 561-296-1944, 561-296-1965, 561-296-1966, 561-296-1951, 561-296-1958, 561-296-1956, and 561-296-1961.

As reported by others, they are collecting for the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association, which is nothing other than an association/union for law enforcement personnel.

Don't bother answering.  It's someone claiming to be collecting on behalf of the Police Benevolent Assn.  It's either an outright scam, or an authorized telemarketing company that gets to keep the lion's share of the money.  Either way, it's pretty much the same thing!

Bast*rds call - then just hang up. Must be their automatic dialing system trying to get in as many calls as possible, and connecting with the first person who answers.

For the record - I wouldn't give a PENNY to any fool who calls me up looking for police donations. They get enough of my taxed money as it is.
