I did some research and found out that the Office of Purchase Order Notifications is some sort of affiliate for SmartProcure.us and they sell a "legitimate" service. That is, if you believe taking public data and reselling it a "legitmate" service. They give it away to government agencies and journalists so they can justifiably be considered "transparent" data. But they charge businesses to use it so businesses can research their competitors pricing and supposedly use the database as a way of finding new government agencies to sell to. I don't believe what the fax says about my competitor is searching for my data. That's impossible because I don't have any competitors. I sell a one of a kind product that can't event be sold by anyone else. I think they are definitely misleading people with this fax but I could see some companies really getting competitive with their service.

We got a fax from this number from "Office of Purchase Order Notifications."  The fax said that one of our competitors had requested info regarding purchase orders from 3 of our federal clients, and they somehow correctly listed our three best federal clients!  Then they wanted us to goto their website to find out how we could get access to the same data.  PurchaseOrderNotifications.us.  The address was 700 W Hillsboro Blvd., Suite 4-100, Deerfield Beach, FL

Based on this and the above comments it sounds like multiple scams are being run out of this location.

It's from whocanisue.com, an attorney referral service. Chances are, if you received the call, you are an attorney and they want you to sign up with them.

These Bastards called me three times wanting to know if I spoke Spanish.

They called my work. Said his name was David Brown and worked for the US Department of the Treasury. Wanted me to call them back. I did not know the treasury had an office in Boca Raton Florida.

Female voice left message on voice-mail. Said she was from some " ____ Media Company" and wanted to send some business my way. What a scam. Hang up or better yet, don't answer. Phone ID reports "Unknown". That would be your first clue.

SELLING web ads for texas personal injury lawyer

Call was noted on Caller ID on 5/6/09...and it was labeled "unknown" on the caller ID.....checked number with special software and cae back as a "hard line" number assigned to Boca Raton, FL.   After reading comments above, I decided not return the call.

I got a call today from this #.  He left a voicemail.  The guy identified himself as "Drew Gomez" and said he had a real estate matte to speak to me about.

I also received a call from this unknown number. didn't return call.
