I got the exact same message in regards to a craigslist ad.

I just received a text msg from this person in response to Craig listing I have. Searched the number & found other complaint.  The l person duplicated the header exactly which raised my antenna.

NEW SCAM NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!  DO NOT GIVE THIS PERSON ANY INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!

This person is trolling on Craigslist, looking for unsuspecting people to defraud.  He wants to send you a cashier's check in the mail.  Since he is going to be "mailing" it, he demanded my full name, RESIDENTIAL mailing address and my cell phone number.  I had the EXACT same experience earlier TODAY with another scammer whose number was (781)412-4096 (note the numbers are near IDENTICAL except for the area code.. (SCRAMBLER??????!!!!!!!).  I'm in contact with the authorities pertaining to the second number... I'm sure it'll only be a matter of time before you see numerous complaints regarding this number.
