I messed with these morons also when they called...they wouldn't know a good investment if it ran them down on the street with a flashing neon sign on it.
They wanted to sell me ~gold~ as a way to make money....
This is a horrible investment.
First, you must pay an upfront commission on this purchase through this particular company, followed by monthly fees for interest (should you decide to leverage your "investment") and storage.
Secondly, you lose the compounding factor of other more sound investing methods - which is substantial.
For Example, lets figure your return for $100,000 of gold from 1981 until today. In 1981, you could buy 250 ounces of Gold at $400 per ounce with $100,000.
Today, that same Gold would be worth $340,500 (250 ounces @ $1362 per ounce).
Now, let's put that same $100,000 through its paces with a good growth stock mutual fund that has a 10% 10 year average - that means that over a ten year period it averages 10% per year in growth.
Today, that same $100,000 after 30 years would be worth about $1,749,000.
Do you think that you might miss that additional $1,400,000 ?? I would hope so.
Plus, the value of your gold "investment" would be further reduced if you factor in that you had to pay for interest, storage and insurance for all of those years.

Thank you for your post. This sounds like the same scum bag who called me 0950. on 6/14/2011. I am always amused when one of these criminals (and that is truly what they are) tells me they are calling in response to my request for information. I had difficulty determining whether the person I was talking to was named "LLoyd" (not that it would matter as they all use phony names) or that "Lloyd" was the name of his scam operation. His pitch was nearly verbatim from the script (posted on another site) for precious metal scams.

We have the same issue with this company. My husband filled something out online a couple of years ago and even though they have been told several times not to call, they continue to do so. Furthermore, not only do they call our home number, they call my husband's business and they somehow got both of our cell phone numbers. When you tell them that they have been told not to call, they act like they never heard of such a thing and get really nasty!

These people call constantly! Do not talk when I answer, and then call back when I hang up. I have told them to take me off of their calling list. I know they hear me, because I can hear their background telemarketing going on. They just hang up...then call back!!! Don't give these idiots your business!

Mike Rapagna (561-515-3250) called me in the early evening of 5/19 claiming that I had asked for some information on the precious metals market. I have never done so. He acted like a young, eager broker who had no concern about stretching the truth and extremely hungry to find a sucker and make a buck. I thanked him for his call, said I was not interested, and hung up. He called right back. In no uncertain terms, I told him never to call me again. One-hour later, he called again and then, again, during the afternoon of 5/20.

I seem to be in their cycle again. I would suggest that all of you that receive these calls file a complaint on the National No-Call list. At least you can vent a little rage there and hopefully if enough complain, the FTC will investigate. I believe the a possible fine is in the range of around $16000 now.

Why don't these morons live in MY state where I could drive out to visit them - scalp a couple and beat a few senseless?? Why must they all reside either in MD, FL or NY???
Nothing would please me more than to knock a few teeth out and hold a class on gumming their food - they'd feel right at home in the DEEP south then wouldn't they? They'd learn why old people like grits and oatmeal so damn much - it's easy on the gums.
I wonder what "pitch" tomorrows baboon call will bring? Mortgage mods? Viagra? Credit card debt relief? Sodomy in a jar? Two camels in a tiny car?

Calling yet again - "Lloyd's Asset Management" - tried to leave a voice mail with my number for removal, but it cuts off after less than a second - obviously programmed to do that.
Thankfully I don't pay for long distance with my phone to try this out.

they are garbage, same call here. "Ryan" from Lloyds for the owner of my company, told "Ryan" if its telemarketing we are not interested, then they try to get smart with you ....i put them on permanent hold , took ryan over 3 minutes to understand he will be sitting there ALL day

This is a metals fraud. Everyone who calls looking for your money is a fraud. Play with them. Keep them on the line. Waste their time, then say, "Not Interested." I just played with one for 25 minutes while playing in an online poker game. I was making money while he asted time with me. It's a fun game to play.

See my 3-17-10 post. Says he is Daniel Miller account executive from Lloyd Asset Management and starts out with a LIE saying that I "responded to one of our programs." I told him outright that was not true and that someone had sold my name. He came back with "You are not interested in making money this year?" I get similar calls that start with a LIE about my response to other things like oil wells.
So, them them emphatically that you did not respond as he says you did. Don't be afraid to tell them it is a LIE. That someone -your credit card or your bank-sold your name to him company and that you did not respond to any program.

WOW. I should keep a log here in our office. We get about 10 calls a day from telemarketers. Its ridiculous and time wasting with the calls.

Caller I.D. Florida at 6:30 a.m. in my California office. Said I had responded to an ad for precious metals, which I had not. I get a lot of such calls from people suggesting I invest in precious metals, oil, etc.
TIME TO OUTLAW THIS STUFF. Write your federal and stae legislators for a change in the telemarketing laws. I get thousands of calls per year for everything under the sun. Answer, don't answer, let the answering machine take it, ask to be taken off the list, tell them you are on Do Not Call. Makes no difference. Laws have no teeth. They laugh at you. Here is a list of 220 pests that call repeatedly. This list alone represents thousands of calls and I only have time to list about one in five pests since I get so many calls.
