It is a scam when they're misleading people into thinking they're hiring different positions.  Speaks very badly of this "company" if they have to lie to get people to interview for sales positions - why not be honest about it?

Yes they are still doing this as of April 23, 2014. They called me and stated I also was a perfect fit but I had not applied. They refused to give me any details over the phone.

Got a call from 954-369-2199 from Tammy / HR, and she was not prepared for questions. She said my resume is a perfect fit for the job, so I have an interview tomorrow at 8 AM. I asked her about the job description, she didn't have it.( Yet, I am a prefect fit :) When HR does not have a job description, you know it cannot be serious. Asked for the hours, she said, 8 to 4:30, 5, 5:30, she is not sure. Really. I asked for the pay, she said $ 1000 a week. Job title: personal consultant to doctors and nurses. I asked what will the consultation be about. She said this sounds like I am interviewing her over the phone and I cannot do that. Sure thing I can and I am. And based on my interview they are not getting my time. (She hung up on me and when I called back 30 minutes later the recording said this is not a correct # ).

Hello,
I received the same type of call but from 954-369-2199, just now.
This is the second time i received a call like this.  The first time, they told me that "my boss saw your resume on Careerbuilder and thought you were a great fit..."  I went so far as to make the interview appt with this William "something" agency.  The HR person said she would email me the details. We exchanged one email...i sent her another email saying there were no appt. Details...time of the interview which was the next day, nor any directions...nothing. This started about 10am that morning and by 5pm...had not heard anything.  I attempted one email and the response was that her Supervisor would send me the email, right away...needless to say...never got it.
Never heard back regarding this supposed "Director of Benefits" position.  It was somewhere in Miami Lakes or Miami Gardens...they were not specific.
So, they call for the 2nd time...i didnt pick up & the person did not leave a voicemail.
I called the number back and sure enough same job.  I politely told them i was not interested.
How are they able to do this?
I read your posts and its terrible what they do to people looking for honest jobs.
Thank you for letting me share!

I got a call 1) stating I applied on Monster.com for the position. 2) It was for a Benefits Director position. 3) I would go over benefits with healthcare members including nurses.  (All lies). They also said I would get training and compensation for it.
When I got interview confirmation email, I noticed that it came from a personal gmail account. It also said if I had questions to speak with Mike Musso.  I looked everything up online, there is no position listed anywhere. It is also a company that looks for people to sell insurance. Mike Musso (Michael Musso) is a Manager.

Good thing I am internet savvy. Ive gotten calls like this before, but none as dishonest as this!

I worked for AIL in West Palm Beach, FL. It is NOT a scam. If you are a sales oriented person, you can make a fortune working for them. I did quite well the time I spent with the company. There is a 4 week training process that takes money initially, but they compensate you for that later on. If you can tolerate to work 70-80 hours per week for 10 years and then retire, this job IS for you ! I made 1k-1.5k per week on average there including commissions with bonus.

For the above people to say this company is a scam, that is a flat out lie.
They are NOT an employment agency. They are an insurance company with very affordable products I might add !

Got the same call today from Williams-Zophin.   Set up appointment for tomorrow.  Asked me to bring an updated resume. What???? If they are calling me, aren't they looking at it now?  Asked me to confirm my e-mail address.  What  information about me do they have?
I went into my documents and couldn't find a resume that I sent to them or for the position of Benefits Director.  I asked her to find my resume and see which e-mail address I had given them.  She told me I had sent my resume to them through career builder.  Logged in to career builder and didn't see any such submission. She said she would go to her manager's office and forward the resume to me.  Never heard back from her.
Googled the company name and found this site.  THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO POSTED HERE!!!!!!!  You have all saved me time and effort.  Bottom line is I am cancelling the appointment.  It is a scam.  Address they gave me was 300 South Pine Island Road, Plantation, FL and the two numbers they gave me were 954-513-4471 and 854-735-0681.

Yes that agency William Zolpin is Amerian Income Life Insuance. They have offices from West Palm Beach down to Plantation. Includeing all over Florida with a seperate francise branches under AIL.
They get your resume off the Career Builder and Craigs list, knowing your seeking work, and dont care about your background. It is a 'numerbers game' and yes they get a bunch of 'bodies' in there every other day to interview and 'hope' that someone bites into their sales pitch.
It is selling Insurance, no doubt about it but they make it sound softer by calling you a Benfits Person. The benfits are still insurance programs like packages the end user is to purchase. Strictly sales; Commission Sales and you have to pay for  the training yourself as well. Since so many dont make it in the first few months, they dont tend to loose anything..... if you want a full time sales commission job, then go for it.
They have people calling resumes found on career builder all day long. That is all they do.

Here's the run down. Mr Nigel Crowe will fill your head with visions of grandeur of the cash you can make. However first you need to take a seminar which they most likely get kick backs from. Then they will offer you programs designed to help you prepare for the test.(it's a state test they have no idea what questions are on it) Then once you sink lets say $200 or more (not sure what they hook you for) plus pay to take the state test you will go through their non paid training. As with any sales job you will need to learn a script before you ever set foot out of the office. All be told you should be 4 weeks in and several hundred in the hole before they even decide if you can work for them. Not really a scam but definitely shady and could cost you without any return.

SCAMMERS! William Zophlin Agency is exactly what they are, they claim to have a job for you as a benefits administrator but is all a scam they have nothing.  I went to an interview with a Mr. Ingram and I told him to stop giving hope to people who are unemployed.  They are all scammers, all of them do not believe anything what they say, they portray themselves as a business but all they are are an employment agency with nothing to offer.  Don't get scammed by these fools!

I just got a call from this company too and the lady's name was Jackson.  There was a lot of noise in the backgroud so it was hard to hear her.  She said they were looking for a Director of Benefits.  It was weird since I never applied for a position of this.  She gave me the info about the training and compensation.  So glad that I decided to look this up and I thought something was fishy.

I just got the same call that all of you have described - they wanted to offer me a Director of Benefits position as well. This didn't really make sense, because I have absolutely NO HR experience. When she used the same description about benefits for union workers, it sounded like Insurance Sales to me - I asked if it was, and she said NO. She scheduled an interview appointment, but I will definitely be a no-show now that I have read all of these other experiences that you have all had.

Recieved a voicemail from Karen from 9548512430. I was sure it was a cold call to me! This site was just validation. I had been on the site for a few minutes, hit reffresh, and a brand new post was only 3 minutes old claiming the same as the rest. William Zophin was the company, they wanted me to be the Benefits Director. I have so little insurance history on my resume I wondered why me? Now I know ... because they are a scam.

Received the same call today from (954) 513-4473 for an interview tomorrow at their Plantation office and was given this information Address: 300 S Pine Island Rd #308, Plantation, FL 33324 / (954) 735-0681.  I then asked that a job description be e-mailed to me today and she asked for my e-mail address  I responded that it was on my resume and she said that she did not have it that her manager did. I gave her my e-mail and waited an hour and no job description. I then search the company with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and it showed that American Income Life Insurance-Williams Zophin Agency was a BBB accredited business since 05/11/2012 and felt better, but my gut feeling told me keep searching and I found this site and called back the office and told them that I was waiting for the job description and she said that they do not send one. I then told them that without a job description I would not go to an interview and that I had not interest in a sales job and cancelled the interview. They are using unethical tactics to get insurance sales people. Suggest you all go to the BBB web site  http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/busines ... each-fl-5002478 and report them.

I have recieved the same call and the same sals pitch. I would be the Benefits Director etc etc. He did not say it was a straight commission sales job. It was a telemarketer stting up interviews for this job. I do not want to work for a shady company. They need to up front and honest. I would never do business with them so I certainly will not work for them. I called to cancel my interview and can't get past the voicemail.

Glad I did the research and found this site.  I got the same story about the benefits director position earlier today.  For a second I thought it was a blessing but the caller didn't sound professional which prompted me to do a search online. She sounded like a telemarketer looking for business and not like a selective HR person setting up interviews for a job.

I wasted my time with this interview. They had twelve people lined up in the waiting area. I immediately realized the caliber of interviewing going on. The interviewers were laughing among themselves about the number of people waiting, not very professional. My interview lasted all of ten minutes, he was not interested because I am attending a graduate program and "it will interfere with the schedule, it is their experience".  It was a revolving door process. Now I understand. Amazing what some will do to those of us looking for a job.

I got a call from this number telling me I was chosen for an interview -benefits director position...I was excited about the call..but something didn't seem right- because i tried to inquiry as to where they got my number- because i did not apply for the position; the woman kinda ignored me and was more interested in getting me to commit to coming to meet with them. I did a search and found all of these other victims...thanks for sparing me a lost day of work at the place where I am already underemployed...
Hang up when you see this number come through...!!

Received a voice message on my cell phone from 954-839-7843 - same story, a women namely Karen mumbled something about "her boss, my resume, and the boss wants to interview me". Yes, I am looking for a job so, for a moment got excited and, of course, called back. The person said Karen is off today! and he can help me with anything what Karen could and began his non-stop 'telemarketing diarrhea' from which I understood they need sales people. I have nothing to do with any kind of sales and my resume does not indicate any sales related experience.
I also periodically receive calls from 561-633-6181 on my house phone - thanks goodness for the caller ID - I've never picked up and they've never left a message so I knew this is a sales call which is now confirmed.

Thanks everyone for sharing ones experience about Williams Zophin recruiting tactics. Exactly, Yikes!
