have had several calls from this number and rejected all. Now on do not call list
Ask them to put you on the do not call list. Use this specific verbage. Don't say "take me off the call list" or "stop calling me" but actually say "put me on your do not call list" and they legally have 30 days to get you off of their call list.
Took Facebook-directed survey, purporting to be gathering polling information on Rick Perry. To get the results of their "survey", required giving a phone number and e-mail address. The page then directs the survey taker to an "888" number for the survey results and a free gift for taking the survey. Upon calling, the same message as reported by others: "All lines are currently busy. Please hold for next available representative". At that point, I hung up. Immediately, the cell phone rang, identifying the call as coming from 561-666-4389. I have entered this number as telemarketer in my phone book, so I will know to ignore it. It's no big inconvenience for me; my phone is always set on "vibrate". I'll consider future calls from this source as a little "freebie massage". I should have known better than to fall for this "poll". No fool like an old fool, I guess.
yes, same here. i took a sarah pallin poll on facebook and they did the same to me.
why he keeps doing it to me
he has done it to 20 times now
I need them to stop calling my #
I just took a poll for Mitt Romney from Facebook. As soon as I finished, I got a phone call from this number 5616664389 in Florida. They said they were a polling company and had to verify what I had entered online. I usually don't do this but I wanted to participate in a poll for once just to try, so I verified what I figured was open knowledge anyway, like my name, email, and zip, but then I got disconnected. They haven't called me back this time, and when I tried to use caller ID to call them back, it says the call cannot be completed. Obviously, I've been had. Hope it doesn't go any further!!!!
Oh, I forgot to mention that I found the poll from an ad on Facebook today (12/28/11).
I also got a call from 561-666-4389 as soon as I finished a poll on Barack Obama. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. The voicemail was a recording from their main menu. The name of the company is Polling Associates (or so they say). They then say that their poll results are sent to National TV networks. They then go on to say: "Please press "1" to speak with our live representative and have your vote counted. Or press "3" to have it not be counted". Because it went to voicemail, this message kept repeating itself.
The poll I was invited to participate in was approval of Mr. Obama. As soon as I directed away from the page, the call came. I hung up as well.
I clicked the ad, too, on Facebook just this morning (December 21, 2011) about a political poll about Ron Paul. After completing the poll and submitting the results, I, too, immediately got a phone call from 561-666-4389 and got a recording saying all representatives were busy helping other customers, and I should stay on the line for some information about the gift. I didn't feel like standing there, and I figured the gift was probably some cheap crap made by foreign child slaves, so I disconnected the call. I still had the ad up on Facebook, so I clicked to hide the ad and the reason I gave was that it was misleading.
keep calling me
The same thing happened to me. It seems that you just can't tell which Facebook ads are legitimate and which ones are scams. That's too bad because some people pay hard earned money to advertise their legitimate businesses on there. It appears that scamming people is a big, lucrative business for some people. When I listened to my voice message, it just started ringing and then told me to wait for the next available representative. I hung up because I knew it had to be a scam!

Called on my cell but did not leave a message
I took a political poll from a link on facebook. Supposedly you get a $100 gift voucher but when it came to the registration page, they wanted money to sign up so I canceled. I had already entered my cell # and they called IMMEDIATELY. I hung up on them. It's a scam.
It's a scam for a $100.00 gift voucher. When you question them about it, they hang up on you.
