NYC. THEIR ALL CROOKS

They call my phone saying that it "involves a personal business matter."  It's really annoying, they leave messages and I have to delete them, I'd rather not have to bother.

They keep calling.  I tried to press one to geta hold of someone and of course nobody, then when you get to message center, nothing. I can't leave a message.

What I am going to do is report them to State Attorney General.

Report them.  Oxford Management have already been fined by the FTC for their illegal practices:

The operators of a debt collection company that used false threats and other unlawful tactics to collect consumers' debts have agreed to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that they violated federal law. The settlements bar future violations and require the defendants to pay $225,000.

According to the FTC complaint, the defendants, who had about three million consumer accounts and collected debts in every state, falsely threatened that nonpayment of debt would result in garnishment of consumers' wages, arrest, or legal action.

Every day (sometimes several times per day) for the past month.

I have received calls daily from them for months.  When I pick it up there is no one there, and it eventually gets cut off.  I am not sure where to report this but I'll start with the attorney general as someone else posted.

I am getting 3-4 call a week and when i answer they do not . or it rings once and then hangs up

I received daily calls from tis number on my cell phone.

3:56 pm yesterday this company called me.  In a two minute forty seven second conversion, the caller offended me to the point that I swore at him and hung up.  They called again at 3:59 pm.  I answered and hung up.  They called again at 4:00 pm.  I ignored the call and they hung up quickly.  

According to an ex of mine who is a bill collector this is criminal harrasment.

At 4:09 pm, I called back to complain.  The woman who answered claimed to be a supervisor when I asked to speak to one.  By the end of that one minute forty second call, the person I had been speaking to came on the line, said, "you just opened your mouth to the wrong person," which I interpret as a threat, and hung up.

This morning, I called the main office in Melville, NY to complain about the Scranton, PA office.  The representative refused to accept a complaint regarding another call center.

In my research, I've determined that this company, while legit on paper, is nothing more than a criminal organization which has suffered multiple allegations of extortion and fraud.  Don't trust them.  I'm waiting for a court order before I ever pay them back so I'll have the best paper trail in the world to prove they've been paid.

I have received 2 calls from this company in the last 3 days. I am glad I found this site, as I have no unpaid debts that I am aware of and wondered who this was. I will not answer this number now that I know what it is.

This people call me every day, never leave a message, when I call them back
I get a message saying the phone has been disconected, I called them from another phone and I got an answering machine, this is like a collection agency trying to collect a debt, I've never done business with this people.

They've been calling for about two weeks now. Yesterday, I picked up -- I happened to be home early from work.

The guy asked for someone with my name. I told him I am that person. Then, after asking me to wait for about 1 minute (sounded like he was reading something under his breath and typing on a keyboard), he asked me if I still lived at xxxxxxx drive. I said no.

"And are the last three digits of your social xxxx"? I hung up.

He NEVER identified himself. The first thought that came to my mind was identity theft. For sure, I thought, a collection agency would identify itself; in fact, they are required to notify you that this is an attempt to collect a debt. That never happened.

Funny thing: caller ID said it was from a cellular call.

I said they called 7 times on my Oct 13th post.  Change that to 23 (twenty three) times and they are getting ruder all the time.  Amy (on Aug 27th) must have got a brand new employee. Read G Reynolds Oct 26th post.  They do that all the time and they relish the fact they they are hurting you and your family.  Does anyone know where the CEO of this crooked outfit lives?  I'll pay him a visit.

Re:    Harrassing Calls from Oxford Management Services (561-666-8537)

Oxford Management Services is calling my home where my 91-year-old mother is dying with cancer.  In essence, Oxford Management Services is calling into a hospital room.  We do not want anyone, but our doctor and family calling us.  

Oxford Management has erroneously entered my home telephone number into their dialing computer and will not remove it.  I have spoken with four representatives of Oxford Management Services at different times who said they would take my number off their list.  Additionally, I have left two voice mail messages for William Riley at Ext. 666 of Oxford Management Services.  I thought a follow up courtesy call from your company would be in order telling me my number has indeed been removed and will stay removed from your system.

It is illegal for Oxford Management Services to continue calling into a cancer patients room after they have been notified to stop and that it is not the right telephone number.

A copy of this complaint is being sent to my attorney on this the 26th day of October 2007 @ 2:40 p.m.

Who are these people? What do they want? I don't owe anyone any money - I haven't gotten any overdue bills, no notices, nothing.

Called them told them they had the wrong person, said they would remove my name and number and now they have called two more days in a row. And I had to call them back again.

Got seven calls from this outfit in the last five days.  Woke me up early Saturday morning.

They call me 3 times a day and it is getting on my nerves. If they can't leave a message to tell me why they are calling then how do they want me to return the call. Please leave a message or stop calling.

I was getting calls from this number daily.  I called the number back today and was able to get an actual person.  It is a collection agency.  The person I spoke with was very polite and told me the name of the person they were trying to reach.  I said that I did not know that person so they said they would take my number out of their records.

I've only had this new cell for about a month, so I guess it was this other dudes number that they were looking for.

Try giving them a call and see if they can fix it for you.
I called them approx 9AM USA Central time and got a real person easily.

Unwanted call

THey are rude and call me early in the morning. They are asking for someone that I do not know. I am tired of these harassing phone calls

This number 1-561-666-8537 of Oxford Management calls my home number several times a day.  When I come home from work it is on my caller ID.  It is very annoying.  We do not know what they want.  We picked it up once and they hung up.  I do know this number is associated with Portfolio Recovery Associates and NCO Financial Services along with Sessions, Fishman, Nathan & Israel.  They are all tied in together.  They are crooked and they love to annoy people.  This number goes after old debts that are more then 10 years old.  They are all notorious for practicing illegal collection practices.  The States Attorney's office really needs to investigate this.  They file illegal judgments against people without checking and verifying the person is a real person, legitimate or even live at the address.  One day they are all going to be sued for millions.  Oxford Management likes to shake down people for debts that are under identify theft and haress innocent people elderly and children.  They need to be brought to justice along with their crooked attorneys Sessions, Fishman, Nathan & Israel LLP.

We talked to these folks months ago.  They had the wrong person, they were rude, we asked for paper documentation in the mail, they never sent it.  This in intimidation.
