I received several of these calls this morning.  This could be a 'junk fax' call.  My carrier (AT&T) has a website http://www.att.com/acb  which provides some instruction on how to handle annoying calls.  Unless your carrier offers a 'free' promotion for stopping these types of calls, there is a fee involved.

Keep in mind that these might be pfishing!  So once you recognize the number don't answer the call or redial the number; you only make it worse. It's probably best just to wait it out.

received 3 calls within a 12 hour time, never leave voice mails and I DO NOT answer numbers I can not identify.  If no voice mail, no call back from me.  I research this number on this site and glad there was lots of input.  Thanks

I just recieve a call from that number did they call u on your cell phone

This 561-878-1128  number keeps constantly calling me.  Next time they do, I will answer my phone and then I will tell you who is calling.  I cannot return calls either.

someone posted the 516 area code.  That area code is for:

New York, Nassau County, Long Island, Hempstead

same thing. its totally creepy. it was a guy who said my name. then hung up.

in the last 12 hours iv been called 12 times by 561-878-1128 .... really ******* me off they leave silent voice mail... & when i do answer they hang up...

Called me 3 time, with out saying anything. I have a full time job and a part time job, i have not applied for any jobs. I call it back with in a min. and it said that is was disconected then they called back 5 min. later. (Sunday Mar. 4th 2012 1:10pm)

I started getting these calls after I searched for jobs online. Don't give out your number on those websites. If it requires it to look at available jobs find a different site!

It makes sense I was on a website yesterday looking for jobs in my area and since then this number has called me 10 times in 22 hours. No message, no reply when I answer and can't call it back. It's absolutely annoying! Don't give out your phone numbers on job websites! Just look for a different website!

I applied for a postion and already after about two minutes this number called.  Did not leave a message.  If I could annoy these a--holes like they annoy us I would love it

A man calling for my under age son, sounds like a pervert. When I informed this gentleman that my son was under age how can I assist you? He hung up on me and you can't dial or return the call.

Called me 4 times and no one says anything. When I call back it says it is invalid. I'm in Az.

Been getting phone calls from this number all day & it is annoying! They leave a message but there is nothing there so I have to check it. Then there is silence. I want them to stop calling.

Same thing.  I'll receive several calls from this number each day.  I've not answered, as I never answer odd numbers . . . they can always leave voicemail and I'll return a call.  This number has never left voice mail, not in any of the 10+ call attempts.  I did try to call that number today but a message comes up telling me the number has been changed or is no longer in service . . . yet seconds after I attempted calling, I get another call from that number.  I picked up but no one said anything.

I don't know who this is, or why they are masking their number with this one, but that's some very shady business practice and leads me to believe they are definitely not on the up and up.

Someone from this # attempted to call me 3-4 times 2day. I didn't answer cause I didn't recognize the #. They keep callin but refuse to leave a single voice msg! I finally tried callin # back & all I hear is loud beeps...like it's not even in service. Annoying...Shady as hell!

This number keeps calling my house every hour or more and no one says anything.  VERY annoying!  When I call back I get a message saying it is a number that is not in service.
