AT&T scammer.  Lied about switching service.  Said rate would not change.  "AT&T's way of saying thank you", is what he said.  Next day AT&T said rate would go up $30.00/month.

Ashley kept calling from this number stating that she was a CenturyLink representative and would lower our bill.  We have caller ID on our business phones and I found it quite suspicious that on the caller ID it came up as "Customer Service" and that the number was from 561 area code.  I know for a fact that the 561 area code is for Palm Beach county Florida and that CenturyLink is not based in Palm Beach county, they do not even offer phone service in that county.

Ashley faxed over what looked like a legitmate deal, but the rates were wrong as were our additional "hunt lines".  Ashley also kept calling, which is something that no other phone company has ever done in the past 8 years of business...unless they trying to collect for a bill,

Not sure what they are selling as I told them to take a hike and I was on to them.  Did call the number back and all it said was Thank You for Calling Customer Service, from many calls to our phone provider I know for a fact that they say their business name several times in the recorded message, they also give you a lot of options other than dial the extension or wait for the next representative.

These telemarketers are the lowest form of life. If they know so much about CenturyLink and their merger with Embarq why do they have to ask for my fax number to sent me some BS proposal. Dont waste your time with these scammers...............

Called back the next day from a Customer Service number 561-274-6697.

This number has been calling me for some time now trying to sign me up for a high speed internet package from CenturyLink.  I know this service is unavailable in my area but they sent me a bunch of paperwork to fill out including requests for my birthdate and ss number.

Got a call from Ashley last week reporting that we were paying too much for our servce with Century Link.  The first red flag was that on the caller ID the area code was 561, this is Palm Beach county and although I no longer live there my parents do and I know for a fact that Century Link has NO presence in Palm Beach county, the second red flag was that Ashley sent we a fax to "approve", but the "hunt line" phone numbers were wrong as was our current monthly rate.  The final red flag was when I called the number back it said thank you for calling "Customer Service", no phone company would have a recorded message like that; phone companies are very proud of themselves and manage to say their business name in the initial recording like 5 times; they also never give you an option to put in the extention number or wait for a representative; to get a live person on the phone at the phone company you have to push about a million different keys and pray that you finally screw with their system enough it dumps you in the que for a real person.

Same deal as above. 561-908-6300.  Two different people called today we are from AT & T blah, blah, blah...DSL...blah, blah...  That's the third time this week.  I placed a do not call request this past Monday with AT & T.  I'm going to tell the next person who calls from AT & T to lick my left nut.  I swear the next check I send to AT & T I'm going wipe across my taint before I put it in the mail.

These people called me today. They said that I was getting a free bump in internet speed from ATT. I don't get anything free from ATT so it raised a flag. Not only do they have my company number but they have my cell number too.
I called my ATT account rep and he said ATT sells phone number lists to authorized agents to up sell account programs. So watch you billing if one of these slick people start telling you about Free stuff from Big Bell. It bothered me that ATT would sell my information to a third party.
If you get an upcharge on your bill dispute it and they will drop the charge.

Called a few days ago. Said he was from AT&T and wanted to thank me for our long term support. Said "we were paying too much for service that was slower than other customers". They could increase the speed and for less money.  Today I called the "real" AT&T. No such thing. My cost would go up $30.00/month for the higher speed. I told them that I did not want it and they placed some "blocks" in the account that would not allow for it to change to a different package.
