They don't even give you a chance to figoure out what they're talking about.  I'm lucky in that work for a lwer so he called them this morning on my behalf and the guy HUNG UP ON MY BOSS!!1 WHO DOES THAT???

Robert Wood---left me a voicemail threatening to contact my employer and garnish my wages over an outstanding unpaid payday loan (of which I had no knowledge) on 11/21/2011 (I have the saved voicemail). The caller ID said 321-392-2391 but the callback number given is 561-910-0042. They end their message by saying that if I didn't call them back, "all they could do was wish me luck"

What a crock!!

I had just received a call from this Robert Wood with a Brown and Travis Law Firm.  When the call came in, it said withheld on the caller ID.  The voice mail message mentioned sueing and wage garnishing.  The call back number is 561-910-0042.  I was going to call back to see what this is all about, but after reading these other posts, I don't know if I should call back or not.  This is the first call I got from this number.

I looked up the address 9906 Glades road, yeah theres a law office there, Brown and Trevino phone number 727-940-9091, looked up that number and a whole list of complaints about calling people, the website bntlawfirm, its not there, called the florida bar, there not licensed to practice, no record, so MR WOOD, go pound Salt up your a@@!!!!

Lol i have a job that has me on the road driving most of the day. they just started calling me yesterday and in 24 hours they now will not take my calls and call me crazy. i was bored today so i filled up their voice mail with HARD rock music. I dont mind them thinking im crazy. the song that got me callin me crazy was band: dope song: im back. i have fun with them when i have nothing to do....

You can report them to the Better Business Bureau @ www.bbb.org. You can look up any company through phone numbers, company name or address. If they are not listed they are probably not a real company or not registered. But this would be the best way to let someone know that this company is harassing you. And you can allways use google to back trace any number just put the number in and it has many websites that will lead you to who is calling. This number keep calling me and telling me I owe them money.

I started getting calls from someone in Feb. 2012. After many calls from (214) 736 3706, I told him he had the wrong number (Carlos White) stopped calling me. He had the strong accent as well. So recently I get a call from (Robert Woods) (561) 910 0042 with "Brown and Travis" law firm!! I asked for somthing in writing since I had never did any business with (Cash Net Inc or Cash Net USA). He sent me a bogus email claiming to be an invoice for outstanding debt. It had no date of loan and looked very suspicious. This is sad that these people are going into the computer some kind of way getting our personal information when we apply for things online! It makes you not want to do business online anymore! Everyone should start blocking their phone numbers and giving "Robert Woods" a call letting him know we are on to him!

Yep.. I recieved a call from Robert Wood as well. Said all the same things about having my wages garnished, and ruin my credit. I am now in the process of filing a harassment charge on this person/company/ SCAM. I have already called my bank to tell them to keep an eye out, and they strongly recommend, closing your current account and opening a new one, that theses crazy people wont have record of, changing phone numbers. etc.

They told me i owed the same exact amount. They are crazy!

Keeps calling saying they are going to garnish my disability wages. I don't get that.  Called them from another phone and he said I am not gonna get him like that.  India accent.

Just got a call from these jokers.  Hope they don't repeat what they did to me about a year or so ago.  I had harassing phone calls at work.  These jokers called me at work 3 days in a row, 6-7 times in a row each day.  I would tell them not to call me at work, hang up on them and they would just call me right back, it was like I was on their speed dial.  I filed a report with the FTC, BBB and tried to file with the local police too.  I work at a state agency so these type of phone calls are not appreciated at my work.  Not much you can do about it except say that person no longer works here.
It is real frustrating especially when your supervisor tells you to take care of these phone calls, and there is nothing you can do because they are illegal phone calls in the first place.  They seem to stop for 3-6 months and then start up again.

Just got a call from these people...number is from Boca Raton, Florida.  Guy sounds Indian or something, and started yelling at me when I asked for proof.  He changed his answer once and I nailed him on it. He got mad and started yelling in another language.  I've reported it to the FBI, but these guys use prepaid cell phones and VoIP, which is difficult to track.  Hopefully he won't call back, kinda was fun yelling at him though...lol

Recieving calls from a man with a heavy accent, says his name is Robert Wolf and he is calling from the Law Offices of Brown and Travis and that if I do not return the call within two(2) days they are going to sue me, garnish my wages and my credit will be greatly effected.  He says I am to call him at 561-910-0042.  I have been having problems with harrassment calls since last October 2011, everyone who calls gives a bogus name, they all have the same heavy indian accent.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC, FBI, local Metropolitan Police Department, all the credit reporting agencies and even spoke with someone from the secret service.  They have all told me that this is what they refer to as the "India Scam", they are trying to scare people into paying them for online loans that they never recieved.  Most of the people that they go after are older however they will go after anyone if they think that they get either get something from you voluntarilly or get access to your bank accounts.  It is my understanding that they are based overseas somewhere but no one seems to be able to track them down or stop them.  I must have a list of a couple  of dozen different Ph.#'s that they have called from, located in a dozen different states.  They need to be stopped.

got several calls from this # claims i owe money to some co. but they refuse to give me info.so i hung up on them they call me back ,call me a loser and continued to harass me by calling and not answering me.told me to shut up they refuse to let me talk they claim they have a loan agreement i signed but i never signed any thing! who can i report this to to make it stop?

I have been receiving calls for about two years now. They call my work, call my cell, and have threatened me in every manner over the phone. They got my info when I applied for a student grant/loan several years ago. My work has told them I no longer work there and I changed my cell number. I have alerted the FBI fraud division and consumer reports. They are aware of the scam and even sent me a letter to show my employer.

Know your rights. Creditors cannot threaten you. You have a right to negotiate your debt with a legitimate creditor. They cannot call your place of business once you have asked them not to. They cannot leave personal information on your voice message (must leave company name and ask that you return the call and nothing else). They must give you IN WRITING collection information when you ask for it.

THIS IS A SCAM. Do NOT return the call. That just gives them more reason to call you back.

Its a fake law firm. IT may be because of a payday loan taken out by a illegal lender. They cant really take you to court so they make theyre so called law firm up. First off they have to send you a letter before they call you telling you they are suing you. Not to sound mean but its mostly the ones that have a accent, those are the fake law firms. What i did is got my husband to act as my attorney and he asked them for documentation stating they are suing. They will say that cant do that. After that they will stop calling because they are aware now that you know they are a fake company. So dont worry about it.

I have gotten a call from them stating that they were filing lawsuit against me on a loan I never took out. Checked with loan agency they said were filing charges and they said it was a scam my name wasnt even in their system. I asked for proof from them that I took out this loan and they hung up. beware of these people.

I keep getting calls from a blocked number saying there is a legal case pending against me. this is the number they have given me as a call back. They refuse to send me anything in writing and some how they have my ss# and address.

I just got a call from a pre-recorded message ..stating that I was going to be sued, and have my employer garnish my wages. The call sounded serious, but at the end of the pre-recorded message, its said God Bless You and Good Luck. Who states that now a days, certainly no one of a professional establishment. What happened.. did they do anything or send anything

Don't let them upset you, and don't waste your time.  These extortionists will contine as long as they think there is even a possibility you'll give them something.  

Actually, an air horn or metal whistle is the fastest way to get rid of them.

This is a scam call to get info....If you were being sued, you would get a certified letter by usps. When the call me they get a mouthful..Just give then what on your mind and hang up...By the way, I did report this to the FBI.
