Sometimes, people fall for things. The point (IMHO) of this site is to help educate. Yes, these calls SUCK, YES they're scammers, and YES, it's awful AND keeps these people in business, but why harp on the people who are going through this crap. Instead, you choose to be another problem, instead of part of the solution.

Seriously? You gave someone your credit card information over the phone that you did not know? You are the reason these people never stop calling. Idiots like you encourage them to keep the scam up.

"Jonathan" shared he could lower my interest rates on all my credit cards, and asked if I had more than $5,000 in cc debt. I asked him what relationship he has with my CC companies and of course he was vague. I shared I would contact my CC companies DIRECTLY to determine if I qualified for a reduction. He said, "Good luck with that" and hung up on me...

SCAM - SCAM - SCAM - SCAM. Will report them to the BBB. There is no real listing for "Consumer Rewards" online.

Left message saying no problem with any credit card accounts, but to contact them in order to lower my interest rate.  I don't have credit cards...

Calling constantly and never when I am near my phone. All they ever leave is a short message with no one talking.

I didn't answer but msg. left on answering machine talked about reducing interest rate.  I have nothing that would fall into that catagory.  How do these people get our numbers?  I get all kinds of calls that I don't recognize and never answer -- usually they don't leave a message.  It's really IRRITATING.

I keep on getting pestered by this number. I already am registered in the DoNotCall registly.

just had a phone call from this number 27th Sept 2013  .... SCAM  !!!! BE ALERT !!! folks ..... numbers that are NOT on my phone book are automatically fowarded to voicemail ..... on my cellphone as well my cellphone ..... if it's of IMPORTANCE .... they will leave a message .... if not ..... oh well .... not my lost .... that fellow Timothy ..... HOW COULD YOU  ?????  !!!!!  SMH  hope a lesson learned on your part  ....

new numbers same scam

Robocall scam. They try to make it seem like it's my credit card company calling but it is not. They are scammers that are trying to get my credit card numbers and probably my social security number too. I don't know the actual name of this company, they call almost every day from many different numbers all day long. Sometimes they hang up and sometimes they leave a message. They sometimes call multiple times in rapid succession.

Received a call from this number this morning, but didn't answer. Recording left the following on voicemail (presumably the recording started "before the beep"): " ... for reduced interest rates on your current account. Press 1 now to speak to a live operator and reduce your rate. Or press 9 to be removed from further notices."

Message from telemarketer about reducing interest rate on our account (what account?). Caller ID indicated Boca Raton, FL.

I also got a cryptic message from this phone number.  It said something about discontinuing my service.  No name left.

Well Timothy you are just plain stupid to give your information out. They never say who they are in the call so that is red flag number one to not trust "the credit card company". These calls need to be reported so they are tracked and shut down.

You had better notify your credit card companies ASAP...!!

They said they will lower my interest rate to 6% if I owed more then $3000 dollars. Took all my credit card number. Then they said it is almost maxed out and they can't help me. But they have access to all my credit card number and expiration dates!!
