It looks like everyone was hit on the same date the text I received also was on 3/8/13 webmaster@boomering.com/ / Dear Customer your debit card is suspended, to resolve the issue please call now free to customer support 1-561-961-7247 .... I didn't call the number only because I was busy and didn't see the message until just now thought I'd look it up these people are just losers with no life so try to ruin others hopefully no one has been taken advantage by these jerks

same as above, asking for card number, pin number , the 3 digit number at back.
These are mostly Nigerians coming to this country to scam, they are doing it a lot in Canada too

I managed to track down the number 1(561)-961-7247 and found that it is made by a cell phone user located in Boca Raton, Florida. The exact position is somewhere between NW 2nd street and SW 18th street located by Palmetto Park Road and Dixie Highway. If you live in this area find the b*****d/scammer and show him some love for the rest of us.

Same message. Anyone dumb enough to fall for this deserves to be defrauded. These guys aren't even trying.

I received the same text called the bank to ask and they said they do not customers.TOTAL SCAMMERS.

Dear  Customer your debit card is suspended, to resolve this issue, please call now free to customer support: 1-561-961-7247.  Same number as before with nearly the same message except its from a different web address.  Seems the websters have been hit and these messages are robotically sent out in their name.

Same text message.  Received twice already. Same scam:  your debit card is suspended... bla, bla, bla and, of course, call us back immediately to resolve the issue.  Mine came from spam@ethertek.co.kr

Texted from 561-961-7247. Florida switching number related to online gambling casinos which I don't partake in.  
I've got another one, too.  Someone looking for all of us to fund their gambling habits?

I, too, got the same text message. I knew it was a hoax immediately. This Florida number is from those funding online gambling, which I don't do.
I posted it on my FaceBook Timeline to alert my friends.

Got this msg yesterday and already at 8 this morning, cant our government do anything about thus crap?

I got a message from something similar yesterday which stated that it was a "test". Now I got the actual text message stated above today.

Funny thing is...I did recently have my card account closed due to a fraudulent charge, so of course it would have been declined! I've been dealing with having to update my card information lately, so I'm glad I double-checked with this one...

I just received a text also from this number; but after reading the above post, I won't bother to call the number; I figured it was some scam.  I'm thinking about what agency I should report this to.

This wasn't a call to me it was actually a text which stated that my debit card was suspended and that I needed to call customer support at the above number to have my card re-activated. Just for kicks and giggles I called the number and got a computer generated message asking for my card number, evpiration date, PIN, and security code....seriously...I hope people aren't stupid enough to fall for this. Calling the local PD and sheriff as well as my cell phone provider.
