Got a call from these guys asked me very personal info like name a stock I own and asked if I had at least 5 million in the stock market when I answered the questions they called me back asked me to buy 200 shares commission free of vvus the stock went right down and pretty much gurenteed me the next one amarin would go up I bought 5k shares and it did the same thing go down then they had the balls to ask me to buy another 10k shares these guys are IDIOTS and roll the dice with biotechs do not work with this company

He does work with CBG Financial Group.  Howerver I have now lost three digit figure amounts with this company and broker.

Quite the contrary in my case! Pehaps an exception but his tips worked for me and i made 37% on 1 stock in 2 months. Cheers!

Got a call for a disolved company under our umbrella and it's former president. When I told him, Dan Bobek, that both were long gone he asked me who our CEO was. I told him I wasn't going to do his research for him and hung up. Such morons.

Seems like this "challenging landscape" you mention derives from their efforts to cold call people and try to scam them.

Actually the owner is Carl, as in Carleton. He is a straight shooter, a gentleman and a man of his word. I know this because I worked for Carleton for a time. Securities is a challenging landscape, but I'd say that Carleton and David are honest, compliant and hard working for their clients and employees. They enjoy creating wealth for clients if CBG.

We received a call from mr. deboa who called the wrong extension asking for the CEO, which we responded we would forward a message to him.  He was rude to our operator and asked when exactly he would get the important message.  He is now on our do not answer list and his services nor those of his company will be entertained by our firm.

I hate these cold calls! The people are liars! Said he spoke with the boss about a personal matter a few months ago. Yeah, right! Then why don't you call him on his cell because he rarely comes in to the office! Liar!

Caller ID on our business phone was NOT SENDING 561-989-9809.  Almost needless to say, the REJECTED button was hit!

This guy calls every couple days for my boss, whom he always refers to as Mike--even though EVERYBODY calls him Michael.  Definitely a giveaway that he doesn't know my boss. Today the caller said his name was Michael (it changes from day to day), and today he said that he was from CBG. Wouldn't tell me what he wanted, but that he was from Bill Sullivan's office (as if that was supposed to mean anything).
I give up on telling them that my boss isn't interested.  They just get belligerant.  I've switched to leaving them on hold forever.  If they want to waste my time, I'll waste theirs more...

A desperate and aggressive male tried to get in contact with the owner, and when told he was not in, but I'd give him a message, he just got angry refused to give me any info and acted hurt that I wouldn't comply with what were basically  demands to immediately speak to the owner.

Caller asked for the owner-we went round and round because the owner wasn't in, but he refused to leave a name or message .....Very desperate  and  aggressive....Who gives jerks like that the time of day???

"Chris" asked for owner by name, I told him owner was with a customer, caller said "Tell him in on the line" . I giggled (since you can always tell its a scam when a salesman doesn't care about making the girl who answers the phones mad) and told the owner, who had walked in the office at that point. The owner said "Who is CGC?" I told Chris of the owner's response, and Chris said "He doesn't recall?  Tell him 'Good Luck'".

Yet another phone number earns the flushing toilet ringtone.

I have one of those lists, too! It's a lifesaver to keep from having to deal with these hemorrhoids! I scroll through my list and just let the phone ring if the # is on it. My list is VERY long, but it has also put a stop to a lot of those calls continuing. Many of them morph and start calling again, but I just add their new number to the list.

Don't answer the phone. They are really annoying...Keep asking for the boss, pretending he knows our boss for a long time. Hi is John there? No, who is this? Okay I will try later, and he hangs up...The guy said he was from SGS or SBC or something similar...

Keeps calling looking for an "ALI" told him there is no "Mohammed Ali Baba" here and to quit calling. Try a ISLAMABAD number instead. Get a real Job!!

This number just called our company and asked for our owner by name- Said his name was Mike at Cosky...???? I looked the number up on this site. Thanks for all of the great info! I thought it was a BS call and all of your coments confirmed my thoughts. Thanks again! Just let the guy sit on hold... He eventually hung up....

This was a call from someone trying to sell me 1000 shares "commission free." would not take no for an answer and had to hang up on him.

This idiot calls my office every week asking for the Owner. i always say he is unavailable, he will say "oh ill call him on his cell"  ... this time he started singing everything i said.

Call is from CBG financial in Boca Raton, FL.  About 4 mos ago they were calling 10 or more times a day.  Always diff people, all claiming to know the CEO, requesting his cell number.  I called the company back each time they'd call me, & request to be removed.  Took about a month of calling, but the calls finally stopped...until today.  Seriously obnoxious. With these type of selling tactics I'm amazed they're still in business.
