apparently this ph# is a scam for some car warranty blah blah they then ask for your credit card number.. ya ok!

got a call from this number two days ago and it mentioned something about warranty expiring and that it was the second and final chance for me to reactivate my warranty.  i actually do own a car that just went out of warranty about 2 months ago.  so, i actually was going to go speak with an operator.  luckily i was at my doctor's office and i got called in, so i quickly hung up and thought i will call my dealership later.  

later on that night, my fiance got the exact same call, except, he owns a 1998 honda.  so right away, i knew it was a scam.

got a call again 5 minutes ago but this time it is from a different phone numnber.  same message though.

They called both my cell and my fathers cell the same time and the same date! He was at work and answered and they didn't say anything......I didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. Funny thing is It's a HUGE SCAM! We bought a new mustang in 07 and we have been getting calls regarding about the warranty running out on our car, well Fords aware of it and are telling their customers, they ask 4 ur credit card and charge you for your ""Extended warranty"".

Hi there guys, got the same phone call from the same number.. i did research into it and here is something for you to do.  Goto : tmcallerid.com
and click on their EMAIL DNC, and leave the number and any info you would like to put in.  Also put in your phone # as they will take you off their list.  I also put in a complaint to the FTC about this too so hopfully they will get canned from calling us.

Just read the message from Ontario Mechanic, I received a call from 909 650 9175 yesterday as well as one from 562 113 8851 a couple of days ago. 3 weird calls on my cell phone in less than a week, maybe time to change number.

Received call on my cell phone this afternoon, did not pick up call as buxy, no message left.

I got a call from this number that my warranty on the car is expired in order to prevent it pres some number I just hang up the phone.

Got a call from this number (on my cell) didn't answer didnt know the number or area code, today i got a call from 909 650 9175, they left a message had my boss search the number for me came across this site for the number so i decided to do the same with this number. Odd how everyone is getting a call from california to there cell numbers. Something needs to be done.

I received a call from this number today. I did not answer as I found it quite odd that a long ditance number with an area code that I did not recognize was phoning me. I figured if it was important, they would leave a messsage which ended up not being the case. I work for Bell, and my number is unlisted. So I figuured I would search the number and find out who it was. Nothing came up. So I googled it and found this....

Don't press anything on the call you don't know the source is from.

Lots of scams use your phone line to pay for long distance calls they make by your pressing number (for forwarding call purpose)

I got this call on my phone sometime around Noon today. I didn't answer it as I was away from my phone. When I checked it I seen I had a voice message, in checking it the person on the other end had hung up. When I checked online the area code, I was directed to this site, as everyone here has mentioned problems with the same number I was called by.
I'm also apart of Rodgers too.
I really hope they don't call again, as some of you have reported.

this number just called my cell, hung up. i dont have car insurance on my non existant car, and the only way my number coul dhave been goten is if ROGERS got HACKED.  Biggeset cell company in canada and a lot of canadians are getting hit......hmmmm. Be smart. Random [eople don't call you for things... companies do(as in known numbers).

562 is las angelas, ca... number is digitit com services in compton ca.....  a scam of some type

I got the car warranty scam call on Jan 20th overnight (found it in my biz voicemail box).  am reporting to CRTC in Canada, since this kind of unsolicited broadcast voice message is now illegal in this country.

i ignored it the first time, they didn't leave a message.  The second time I got the call, I answered, but it then disconnected.  I am in Canada, so i guess they are are going international

When I asked why they were calling me the operator just said she "removed my number from the calling list".  I had a rogers phone too.  I'm worried they will sell a list of everyone who has a pulse to other telemarketers.

i'm with Cityfone - subsidiary of Rogers/Fido as well (i think).

Just received phone call from 562-223-8851 - did not answer - checked voice-mail, and it was a recording for car warranty as well.

They just called me and said it was my second warning, but that it wasn't too late!  I went on hold and some lady anserwed and began asking me all these questions about who I was and private info.  I told her to stop and explain to me what this was regarding and she became very rude with me.  When I tried to calmy explain that I was confused as to what vehicle they were referring to that needed a warranty, she asked if I had a vehicle and I said no and she abrubtly yelled at me that she would remove my name fromt he database.  I again asked to speak to someone who could answer my original question and she hung up on me.  I tried calling back and got the same message I read alot of other people got on here so I went to the web and typed in the bumber to get this site.  

I am assuming it is a scam.

I am also in Canada and with Fido, which is owned by Rogers.

just got this call about insurance its aboslute bull i hope nobody falls for this ...

same story here.  answered cellphone and got recorded message about expiration of warranty.  hung up immediately and hope they dont call again.

One thing, someone noted that if a US telemarketer got a hold of the Canadian Do Not Call list, they woudl be able to spam us all with impunity.  While this is true, my cellphone is not on that list so that is not how they got my number.

I wish there was a way to robo-call that number back and swamp them with incoming calls for a while!  any creative techie types out there wanna give this a try?

Got call at 10 this morning in the toronto canada area to my Telus cell phone but didn't amswer as the area code was unfamiliar..wonder how they get numberß

robo-call partially recorded on my business voicemail, Jan 20/09.  urges that I call regarding 'car warrenty' or else 'this file will be closed' and 'this is the final call' (I do not own a car).  offers to take my number off their list by pressing '1'.  A call to this number 562 223 8851 leads to a recorded message also offering to remove my no. from their list.
