Yup, BEWARE, credit card scammer.  Called my cell in Oct. 2012.  I did not answer.  I NEVER do unless I know who it really is.

Caller (sounded like he was from India) wanted to lower my credit card rate.  Read several "credit card numbers" to me, and of course, when I said none of those number were mine, tried to make call sound legit and transferred me to "supervisor" (female) who also read several card numbers, and of course when I said none of those were mine, she asked me "well what is your number".  Yeah, like I was gonna give it to her.  Told her  I was not giving my number over the phone, too many scammers out there trying to get it, and, naturally, she hung up.

They're definitely not legitimate. They're trying to get your credit card numbers, (which is why they say they can lower rates on a bunch of different cards), then they'll tell you they can't lower your rates after all, and steal your card information for themselves. I was dealing with them for a while, and apparently they've gotten a hold of my number again. I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. They are scamming you, period. Save the number as a contact on your phone, then block it. "Opting out", by the way, does not actually opt you out of future calls, it's just a way for them to confirm that someone is in fact at that number, and they will keep calling.

When my phone rang, I was outdoors and could not see the caller ID clearly in the bright sun so I answered. The recorded message with "This is Account Services...."  I knew I had made a mistake, so I hung up immediately. Then I entered the number in my contact list under the name Don't Answer! I won't make that mistake again!

**********************************SCAM ALERT*********************************************************************

Got a call at 10:40 am Saturday morning from a foreign caller who identified himself as working for card services.  He offered to lower my interest rate and and I asked on which card.  He said Bank of American Chase and something else.  He said that since I owe more than $3000 and my interest rate was over 10% he could lower my rate.  I said that's not correct.  He said your balance or your rate.  I said my balance was under $500.  He then said he meant my total balance on all my cards which hasnt ben that high in years.  It became apparent he was fishing for information and I again asked who he worked for.  He immediately hung up on me.  Next time I will give them a bunch of false information because if they are wasting time "helping" me, they can't be scamming somebody else.

I got a call at 9:15 am today on a Saturday from this number. I live in NYC and I was in San Fran yesterday didn't use credit cards for anything except to purchase time from the SF DMV for a parking meter. I think this is how they got my number, I never get calls from California area code. And the DMV has people abroad on the other end of the line as well. Must be someone stealing lists and just selling them. I also have excellent credit... So not sure what the missed call was about, called back and was asked to hit 1 to unsubscribe, and I did.

This 'company' just called my cell phone.....I have NO idea how they got the number ..... I selected #1 to talk to a representative.....an operator from 'overseas' immediately answered (imagine that!) ..... even though I couldn't understand her, she fully understood me when I started to question how her 'company' had acquired my number and that I was on a do not call list....she never let me finish, but immediately hung up on me....which immediately sent red flags up and I did a reverse phone lookup........ There was no legitimate company connected to this number....only that it is located in Long Beach, CA. No surprise there!!!  Wish we could catch these kind of crooks!

I received a call from this number but did not answer.  I called back and was given an option to have my number removed from their calling list.  Time will tell if it worked or not.  Obviously somewhere along the line I gave my number to someone who sold it to a marketing group.  Oh well life goes on.

Got a call from this number yesterday at 11:41 am. Usually don't answer numbers I don't know, but I decided to and it was a message about account services (for whom?) and lowering my APR. Only charge card I have is Amex, so of course I hung up. Glad I'm not the only one.

SCAM!!!!!

I answered the phone. They claimed to be with a credit card company I have. They offered lower APR for on-time monthly payments and asked for expiration date and credit card number.  I declined. I called the company I have the card with and they have no record of the conversation.

This same number called me on my cell phone this morning just after 8 AM Eastern time. A tape recording trying to sell me reduced credit rates. I hung up before recoprding was finished. How do these people get these numbers? I am on a do not call list as well. Do they hack into that list and call people on it out of spite? I wish the government enforced it better than it does.

Called early in the morning. Tape recorded message that no doubt is an attempt to to steal my personal information or scam me. I am on the do not call list.  P.O'd that my number was made available to these crooks. I do not give it out.

I received a call from this number at 9:54 am.  It was a recording asking if I want to lower my credit card rate.   Caller didn't specify what company they were calling from which sort of made me nervous.  I don't give my cell phone number out so how did they get it?

After months of declining this call, I decided to answer and see what this company actually offered. Well, 'credit services' company as John Miller (so-called supervisor and only person available to talk to me) claimed was confrontational right from the beginning.  Never asked my name and when I started calling good old John out on the phone, he started calling me an idiot and stupid. That I had never been educated and that I woulda never amount to anything. Then when I used the word, s***, it was like he had been shot.  I had 10 minutes of my day to screw with this man. It was fun. People, just call your credit card institution every three months and politely ask for a balance increase or have your rate lowered. If they can't, ask to speak to someone else. This is your right and usually they are more than willing to work with you.

Just got a call from this number this morning. I have been getting a lot of calls like these on my cell phone and it is starting to really tick me off. I work late so I sleep late and they are waking me up for nothing. My credit cards are in good standing and my student loans are in deferment. All of which are not located in the locations calling me.

For this number my caller ID said: (562) 224-4219

A recording of "Heather" from "Account Services" called saying that my interest rate could be lowered to 6.99%...opted to speak to a live operator to find out which credit card was calling me....I was connected to someone that sounded like they were from India with a very bad connection. He wouldn't say what type of company they are, but said he could lower aprs on chase, cap one, bank of america, discover, etc. Sounds like a shady debt settlement company.

They call me from random numbers on a monthly basis. Usually its "anna"

It is a joke that the FTC has a contest for $50,000 to the person who can come up with a solution to fight this kinda stuff. I am not sure what they are trying to do with this contest since they have the tools/technology to stop them.

I will do it for free...Just give me access.

Just as others said, recording of a person calling as if it was in reference to a  credit card I have on my cell phone which is on the "Do Not Call," List.  Gave the options of 1 or 2 to opt out.  The call disconnected before I could do either.  Obviously a scam.
