Trying to find out who owns this number.

I like Jenn's idea (posted 5/25)  I am usually not at home when they call, but there is never a message. I have not tried calling back.  Glad to hear all the feedback, makes me realize that not answering is probably the best option.

Same here!  I work from home, and get calls from this number almost daily.  I usually ignore them.  One day I tried to pick it up and it was a hang up.  Today I spoke to a man who said he was an academic counselor.  When I told him they call all the time, that I was on a do not call list,  and to stop calling, he argued that it was my responsibility to answer the phone.  Then he insisted he had to follow up because my son requested the info (which I know is not true).  He totally got pissed off and I told him I wanted to speak to his supervisor.  Then he lied and said there wasn't one (I could hear the call center activity).  He then said he was the owner.  I called his bluff and said I wanted his info so I could report it to the Better Business Bureau.  He hung up on me.

asking for parents of my grand daughter. call it back and it goes straight to voice mail.

All I can say is the next time I get a call from this number, which will probably be tomorrow morning, somebody's getting a whistle in the ear. What a rude bunch of people. You tell them the person they're looking for isn't home, and they hang up. No "Thanks, bye," no nothing. And they call all. the freaking. time.

Continue to call without leaving a message.  On the national Do Not Call list as well.  If anyone has their "real" number, let's all call and annoy them.  Why have the list if it means nothing?

Someone has called every day for a week and hangs up. Yesterday, I answered and they asked for parents of son. When I said, speaking, the "girl" stated she was an Academic Counselor. I said, who because she was speaking very fast and giggling, she repeated it again this time, leaving off Academic.She couldn't stop laughing, and finally hung up. I am sure it is a scam preying on parents that have children getting ready to attend college in the near future. Hopefully, people do not fall for a trap thinking they are legitimate in helping their children. My son  just took his ACT and I have a feeling this is one of the companies that got his information.When I see the number now, I just ignore the call.

this happened to me today too, however this was the first time. they repeated asked to speak to the guardians of "me" and would not even address the issue they were called about because i am a minor. when they found out my mother was not entirely fluent in English they hung up. caller seemed to be a really annoyed and irritated woman.

Called us repeatedly, when i answered the person said he was an academic counselor too!
I kept asking him how he got our number, and all he would say was "you've got an attitude problem, kiddo"
Who is this creep?

Calls from this number every single day at least once if not 2-3x a day and when I answer, they hang up. On the no call list and yet here we are with annoying calls worse than a telemarketer!!

The first time the phone was answered, they asked for the parents of our child by name, saying it was the academic counsler at school, Now when we notice the number answer it and its a hang up

number keeps calling everyday...no message left.  When i call back it goes straight to voicemail.
