It is a solicitor. When you call this number back it is a LONG automated message.  It allows you to be placed into a do not call list after you listen to the speech.

No one answers. I seldom do, in fact I really only answered once and nothing happens. Thank goodness for caller ID.

This caller won't answer when I answer the phone, they hang up.
Caller ID says call comes from Norwalk Calif.  Search shows phone line on the Rd Norwalk Blvd bwtween Imperial HWY and Civic Center Dr.

If this is one of them annoying car warranty services, it doesn't do any good to ask them to take you off the call list, they won't.

I called my local police dept & asked what I needed to do or who I needed to call about repeted daily & sometimes hourly phone calls after they've been told to quit calling & take me off their list.  

I was told by my local police dept that that is considered phone harrasement & they'll send an officer out to my home right away to take all the info I have on the case & possibly if the officer feels it warrants it, tap my phone to get legal charges against them.  

Just call your local police dept for any those calls that come day after day more than once a day, it's phone harrasement & they'll be prosecuted.

These people keep calling and calling. They call from several different numbers. When I pressed 1 to talk to someone, they hung up on me. Even if I wanted to extend my warranty, I couldn't.
When you call back, there's a recording which asks you to press a number to take you off their phone list. They just call from another number.

Same here keep getting calls from two or three numbers in area codes I don't recognize.

I GET CALLS ALL THE TIME FROM THIS NUMBER, AND OTHER NUMBERS AS WELL.  ITS USUALLY THREE DIFFERENT NUMBERS.  THEY ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT A NEW WARRANTY.  I'M NOT SURE HOW THEY GOT MY NUMBER.  I JUST STOPPED ANSWERING UNKNOWN NUMBERS.

Someone called my cell phone on July 03, 2008 at 2.00PM CST. Again, since my policy is to never, ever answer calls from phone numbers I do not recognize, I ignored the caller. Whoever the caller was hung up - without leaving a message. I did not call return the call because, as I stated elsewhere,  I am not going to waste time returning phone calls from people I suspect to be scam artists.
And to those of you who are returning these calls, my advise to you is -  DO NOT! If you are returning these calls, say for example, to ask these scammers to put you on a "no-caller list," would you also respond to spam email messages you receive in your spam folder to ask the spammer to stop pestering you with spam mail? There is a saying to the effect that "silence is the best answer for a fool."

Sounds like they've hired any bored college kids they could get their hands on.

I just got the same call today in California SF bay area.  The call came from 610-269-8829.  I was able to hit 1 and get someone on the call.  I stopped him from giving me the typical sales pitch and asked him "who are you calling and which of my cars warranty is going to expire?? The person on the other end told me they pull the numbers "out of a hat". I then said, "So this is a total cold call to make sales", he said "yep you figured us out".  I then asked him to remove my number now and he answered with " yes sir, captain sir, we'll get right on it!!" Then hung up on me.

I've gotten repeated autodialer spam from General Warranty Services on my cell phone.  When I selected to speak with an operator and demaned to know why they were spamming a cell phone, they had no answer.  When I threated to lodge a complaint, they flippantly invited me to.  So I did.  I just filed a complaint with the FCC because autodialers are not permitted to be used with cell phones.  I encourage everyone else to do the same.

I've gotten several calls.  And, of course, I don't have a warranty on my car.  I don't want one either.  Is there a way to block calls coming in from certain phone numbers?

Both of those numbers give the exact same recording.

Car Warranty Sales: The sales call begins with an automated message stating that your car warranty is about to expire. This company has several other numbers...check my report on 603.214.3553 & 213.363.5147 its the same company.The company does not seem to honor consumers asking to be removed from the calling list.

Yes, I've been getting the very same calls and same response from both calling back and speaking with a representative.  I don't even own a carr.

I called this number back and got a recording apologizing "for reaching my number...press 1 to be removed from our call list." So I pressed 1 and it says "thank you" and hangs up...so we'll see....

These pricks keep calling me as well....and they have been doing it for the past month...isnt there a law called "phone harrasment"?....I will press charges if I can...These creeps need to stop harrasing me on the phone with calls...I work at night and sleep during the day so its twice as painful for me when they call.....Ill be checking this post daily to see if anyone has any info on how to make them stop

okay, make it stop!  I've been receiving this call for weeks. I pressed 1 finally today to speak to a representative, and he hung up!  I called the number back, and I get "we only call business phone numbers, please press 1 to remove your number".  This is a load of crap because the number just cycles through.

SAME HERE. YOUR AUTO WARRANTY IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE. UM LETS SEE DONT HAVE ONE. PLEASE STOP CALLING. THANK GOODNESS FOR CALLER ID BUT EVEN IF YOU DO OR DONT ANSWER THEY KEEP CALLING ANYWAY'S. THEY DO CALL DAILY. IT SUCK'S.

Same here with the stupid extend your warranty on the vehicle.  They call over and over and over again.  I wish someone would un-extend their warranty!  LOL

I have been getting this same stupid, annoying call at least 10 times a week for the last year.  When I press 1 to speak with someone to tell them to take us off their calling list, they hang up on me...every time and the calls just continue to come in...daily.
