562-288-7167 called my cell phone for the first time today. I didn't answer, but I called it back. Someone answered after a couple rings and blurted out a business name to fast for me to understand, so I said I had the wrong number. Then she asked if I had recieved a call from them, and I said no. Sounds like a telemarketing place to me, or a bill collector.

This number calls my cell 3-4 times a day! I never answer it because I dont know who it is. They never leave a message either when they call. When I called back one time it sounded like they said sail america but im not sure. I called back another day so I could see what they said and a lady answered "may i help you?".  Maybe I should start bugging them calling them 4 times a day and not saying anything. If it was important they would leave a message regarding why they were calling!

I have been getting calls from 562-288-7167 for a few months now. I don't answer because I don't know who it is. There is never a message. It rings twice and then hangs up.

This number has been calling me for several wks now. I decided today to call back today and this lady answered and said "may I help you?"

This number continues to call, requesting money.  I have requested letters, info. etc.  I called back and they answered, "May I help you"  It sounds like there are children in the background.

I keep getting a call from 562-288-7167 on my cell phone but they never leave a message and call about 4 times a day. I don't answer numbers I don't know unless I am expecting a call from that number. Who the heck is this person?

562-288-7167 calls evryday twice or three times at anytime, I do not pick up but I am disturbed by it

On Friday,October 17, 2008 and on Saturday, October 18, 2008, I received a call from telephone number (562) 288-7167.  On Friday,October 17, 2008, the call was at 10:31 a.m.  They never left a message, they hung up.  I decided to call this number, and leave a message that please add me to your "Do Not Call List."  Then I get a call on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:09 a.m.  The phone rung, then the person hung up.  I called, and spoke to some one who supposed to be a Darnisha Johnson.  She said my husband owes money for subscription of magazines.  In June 2005, my husband was called to go to Guanatanamo Bay from the Navy.  I received a call from Luebke Baker Associates in September 2005, from Laurie Jordan, stating that my husband owes money for these magazine subscriptions.  I told her that my husband is overseas for eighteen months.  I left my husband a message on this matter.  He called me, and said he had cancelled his subscription with the magazne company when he went overseas, and couldn't understand why he was still receiving magazines at our home address.  Darnisha Johnson said he ordered magazines on February 18, 2005.  She does have on record that he cancelled, but the mazagine company would not let him cancel his subscription, because he should have done so on February 25, 2005.  My husband was receiving and paying for these magazines, but decided to cancel his subscription completely because he got called for active duties. My husband paid for these magazines he had received.  In the year of 2005, I received a dozen of calls every day and no one would ever leave a message, accept the one time when I picked up the telephone call because Laurie Jordan was leaving a message.  I haven't heard from Luebke Baker Associates for about three years now, until I started receiving calls again on the dates I mentioned above for October.  Darnisha Johnson seemed to threaten me in saying that how could my husband be in the navy/service when he has a debt to be paid.  She said men and women aren't suppose to be serving their country if they have a debt pending.  I told her that my husband has been paying his bill and he does not have a debt pending, and he cancelled when he was called for active duty overseas. I asked her kindly to please do not call my home, because he is temporarily statoned in Washington, D.C., and he travels alot. Darnisha Johnson said she was not going to stop calling my home until she get in contact with him. I refused to give Darnisha Johnson my husband's cell phone number without his permission.  She seemed to get an attitude and to be a little angry, and threaten me, "quote", that she had aa way of tracting my husband down in Washington, D.C., and see to it that he will not serve his country or work.  She said he owed $164.80, but she will make a deal with him in selling him out for only $114.92.  Darnisha Johnson asked me was I the wife, and I replied yes.  She asked me if I pay the bills while my husband was overseas, and my reply was I pay the house bills.  She seemed to be holding me responsible for these magazine bills.  She said my husband was paying for the magazines with his credit card.  When these magazines came to our house, there is never a billing statement attached to them.  I did speak to my husband in September of 2005, when I had received this call from Luebke Baker Associates, and I explained to him That a Laurie Jordan from Luebke Baker Associates said she called to collect a debt on magazine subscriptions.  My husband's response was that he called and cancelled his magazine subscriptions, and couldn't understand why these magazines were still being sent to our home.

Darnisha Johnson from Luebke Associates, also stated that it wasn't my husband's fault that this happened.  She, herself said the magazine industry in this case are scam artists.  Darnisha Johnson, also stated that on her records, that my husband did cancel his subscription, but she stated on her records that the magazine company refused to cancel out his magazine subscriptions.  This statment did not make sense at all, because a person has the right to cancel from any subscription at any time.  Darnisha Johnson also stated that several representatives from The Department of Luebke Baker Association gave my husband a different answer in how to cancel his magazine subscriptions.  She stated that one representative said he could cancel his subscription for these magazines at anytime he wanted to, while another representative gave him a different response.  She stated to me that my husband did handle the situation correctly by cancelling his subscription, but the magazine company would not allow him to, because he should have cancelled fived days from the date that he subscribed for these magazines which was on February 18, 2005. Darnisha Johnson said he should have cancelled his magazine subscriptions on Febuary 25, 2005. At this time, he was still interested in these magazines is why he didn't cancel them, but did so when he was called for active duties.  My husband did handle this matter in a correct manner.

I do not want to be harrassed by The Department Of Luebke Baker Associates at all.  I have the right to tell them to please stop calling my home, because my husband lives on the military base temporarily until he retires.  Also, when these calls came from Luebke Baker Associates,  my caller ID would read, The Department Of..., and nothing else.

Darnisa Johnson sounds like a scam artists.  I have heard and seen complaints on-line from many innocent people who are being scammed by The Department of Luebke Baker Associates.

i keep getting phone calls form this number why and who?

I got a call from this number and the recorded message asked if i wanted to reduce my credit card interest rate on my visa card to just press 7, so i just hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.

The number 562-288-7167 called my cell today and yesterday. I did not answer but they keep calling.

Hmmm, why don't you call the police and file a charge of harrassment? That's what I did. It's very simple.

I GET A CALL THAT SAYS DEPARTMENT OF AND NO ONE ANSWERS THE NEXT PHONE CALL I DID NOT ANSWER

Received multiple calls from this number everyday for the last couple weeks. If I pick up I hear nothing for about 5 seconds then they hand up.
Really a pain in the butt having them harass me like this for no reason.

This company has been calling our home at least 10 times per day.  I finally answered it and noone would say anything.  I called them back on another line and the lady that answered asked for someone who does not live here (which I told her), and indicated that they were a collections agency.  She told me that she would put this into the computer and I would not get any more calls.  However, approximately 1 hour later, I received a call from a man on the other end who did not say anything until I began to scream "hello!"  I told him that I would be reporting this to the telephone company because this had become harrassement!  I called the telephone company who told me to call the Better Business Bureau and report the company with their phone number.

I have received approximately 10-12 calls per day.  When I answer, noone says anything.  I called the telephone company and they told me to report it to the Better Business Bureau.  Also, I called this company back on another line and a woman answered.  I told her that the person's name that she had just told me about did not live here.  She told me that she would indicate that on the computer.  About l hour later, I received another call and a man's voice finally came on the receiver.  I told him that I would be reporting this as harrassement!  I am now getting ready to report this to the Better Business Bureau.

I've been getting calls from this # continually now for two weeks, 8 to ten times a day. I haven't answered because I didn't recognize the number. Guess I might have to answer it and after a couple minutes ask "agent Smoling" if he got the "trace" on the phone number.

These people are so blasted annoying.
Yes, they are a "mock" collection agency. They are trying to collect debts for magazine companies that were shut down for deceptive practices by the FTC.
Report them to the FTC, BBB and your States Attorny General.
I have been getting calls from these idiots for 6 months from 12 different numbers. The ones I am getting now are new numbers because I have reported all the other ones on here.

Got the classic ring once or twice, no message left.  Decided to call back, they told me they were from the Dept. of something or other & told me to give them my phone number starting with area code and they would research who it was exactly trying to get hold of me.......I REFUSED!!!  DON'T FALL FOR IT!  DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!

I called the number back, and some one answered.  The lady on the other end said that the number calling was Lucier Banker Associates.  They called me at 6:30 in the morning!

I just started receiving these calls...it is 1pm in the afternoon and they've called 4 times already.  I never answer the phone and they never leave a message. The calls are annoying.  They will probably call 4 more times before the day is out.  What they are doing can't be legal, and I hope it catches up to them so they can leave everybody alone!

Calls several times a day everday. I pick up and nobody answers. I would like for it to stop.

They have been calling me from different numbers and never leaves any messeges.  They will stick with one number for a few days then switch to antoher for a few days.  Here are some number they have called me from: 408-587-2178, 562-288-7167, 800-258-6587, 760-526-8174, 213-363-5150.  These are just numbers they have been calling me on for the last two weeks.  This  is supposably their web address: http://www.lba93.com/. I have never answered when they call but I have called back these numbers using a different phone.  When you call them someone just picks up and says "hello" (real companys dont do that).  Once I called and asked who they were, the person gave me her name. I then asked what company this was and she got flustered and hung up.  One time I told them that they were calling me several times a day and they asked for my information so they could look me up in their computers... I told them no hung up the phone.  One time I called they said they would transfer me and they hung up.  One time when they put me on hold to look up a fax number I requested, the phone rang and then went to an unusual answering machine.  
I went to this website http://www.expertlaw.com/library/consumer/fair_debt_collection.html#7 and faxed this letter to them yesterday requestiong they discontinue calling me.  I stated in the letter that they could contact me through mail. ( I did not give them my mailing address. I figue if they really have a debt to collect they will have axcess to my mailing address without me giving it to them)  I have not gotten any phone calls from them yet today... we'll see.

Tried calling back the number.  This is the Third time today that they called me.  Said "all systems were busy please try your call later."

I continue to receive calls from this number.  They have access to my address as well.  I am to the point of contacting a lawyer.  Chances are, it will cost me more, but its the principle of it.
