They, then hang up. They do not leave a message to "opt out". When I called the number asking that my number be removed from their call list, they hang up.

Yep.  Cannot get them to stop calling me either.  I return the call and ask to speak with a manager and they just hang up.  I tried several times and same thing happens.  They say that they will take the number off of their list, but still call the next day.

Our government has allowed these types of callers to use our "private-phone" as in: "we" pay these "our phone bills." So these kinds of companies tie up "our" lines! We get on average -- twelve to fourteen calls a day. We suspect, because of the number of times we thought we were adding our name to "the do not call lists...!" And if you were to get a so called-person, they are very, very rude, always hang up on you. So, it is best to never even consider buying from these people in the first place. This company calls often, through the years. The number they call is our land line. Although we now have cell phones for every member of the family, we still feel the need to keep a land line.

I wish someone would do something about these companies.

Received call from this number with no answer. Calls more than once a week. Would like these types of calls to be stopped. What can be done about them?

Calls everyday from different numbers!! Its all the same satilite company but they are from India or something. An I ask to speak to their manager and they say no and hang up everytime!!! I ask them everytime to take me off the list and they refuse!

Idiots from this company called my house at 8:00 AM with some automated message about supposed amount of my debt and the supposed amount of interest I am paying.  I was hung up at first but when it woke up my sick 3 year old, I went through the roof.  I called the number back 4 times and each time spoke with some foreign person who spoke little to no English stating I wanted my name removed from the call list.  I was hung up each time...it was only AFTER I answered yes to wanting to speak to someone about my "debt" that I was finally put through where I asked the name of the company she stated Northside in California.  I demanded she take my number OFF of their call list FOREVER...we will see!!  FYI on my caller id the name comes us Quikdat Solutions

Oh yeah, forgot to mention- the "no one there" problem is because they use an auto-dialer, that randomly dials numbers.  If the call rings too many times or a machine gets it, the message has already finished playing by the time you say hello, or the answering machine starts recording.  It starts as soon as the call starts to ring.  I've never heard an entire message from an autodialer, even though I usually answer on the first ring at our office.

This call center has been at it a while.  It's based in the Philippines and there are several fake phone numbers, like this one, that they leave a message usually for either debt reduction or auto warranties.

The number the messages tells you to call is 800.657.2304.  After I said I was interested in reducing my "dead" (I swear that's what it sounds like when they try to pronounce debt), she said that the company name is "Northside Services", another incredibly generic name (like Allied Services, which is who they've said they are in the past). She asked me how much "dead" I have.  I told her that a telemarketer had taken my credit information and now I'm $40,000 in debt.  She said that I definitely qualify and transfered me to an "agent", but I hung up after being on hold for a few minutes.
