I received the same last week.
I posted on craigslist a car that i have for sale, also posted i didn't want any car co's sending me anything trying to sell my car for me and i got 6 text messages to my cell phone from:karlw82@gmail.com

Somehow my ad got deleted so i made another one 2days ago and i just got another text message from this karl dude!!!
What can i do??
But it said to go to smartautoads.com

I got one too fromginab102@gmail.com!!! Same texts saying go to sellyourboat.org.

Received this text today at 12:11am:
"Saw your car ad , many buyers in your area are looking for your car type at your price. All types. Plz go to www.Classifies-Local.com"

Got same text from a 615#. i immediately knew it was fishy.

Got same message on text, responded they got our phone #on ad we placed in local buys galore free paper ..

Based on a post I placed on Craigslist,I received first an email which asks for a pay pal account to receive the money from the ad.  W/o details or even looking @ the boat!  Then today I receive a call from root@carbuyersales.com.. This I found strange and then I see this when logging in on to go to the website from my phone message that many others have had this too!

I did too!  Mine came from root@carbuyersales.com!  No one should have clld me in this way!  Also, emailed me and asked for a pay pal account to buy a boat w/o knowing any info on the actual boat!   I'm reporting this to my precinct and the FEDS!

I received a text message @ 3:30 a.m. this morning stating the same thing that is listed on the other posts.
Saw your ad on cl and we are in the area to buy boats. The text that I received was from Karlw82@gmail.com.
I agree that these people need to be stopped. I don't know if will help, but I know alot of police officers in my area and I am going to show them the text and the website.

erica928@gmail.com.......Same problem and that's why I delete the junk. They are no different than actual folks on CL who are trying to get stuff for free when they can do something to earn whatever. Good example, supposedly there's a couple who have 3 kids and need all sorts of furniture but have absolutely no income and want the stuff free along w/delivery. I'm very baffled by an add like this and think this is a great example of them being a form of scam. Had this been the case, especially w/myself, why not offer to actually work for the stuff or something? Also, why do they need all the furniture if they have absolutely no income, where do they live? I'd assume Government housing, which I'm not trying to speak badly of, but they can probably afford cigarettes, drugs if they use'em, alcohol and whatever else that's a WANT not a NEED.

Just posted a mushroom mooring under boat section and got the Saw your CL add buy boat for cash ad go to sellyourboat.org. e-mail root@clienti-marmo.com. It seems if you post anything on CL in the boating section you will get this e-mail. Oh yeah and DEATH TO THE SCAMMERS!

I got one too !  From    erica928@gmail.com    What a coincidence.   ... www.sellyourboat.org    looks like  some miscreants harvesting email addresses for their phishing scams.  

But they don't stop there... they hack into someone's web site using holes in the .php scripts  (ie., from old wordpress version sites) and then squat there to collect user information using that domain.   Oh yes, it looks & feels just like a real bank login form,  but its actually hosted on some unsuspecting hacked-into business web domain in order to capture the actual bank or credit card info to send right back to them.   And they can remain anonymous and untraceable.  

Hopefully the CIA or Feds will crack down on these thugs sometime soon.

I have received 20 tex calls so far in a row from erica928@gmail.com. I have tried to block every one of them with no success. what do I do to stop this. As I am typing this i got another. This has to stop.
