I keep getting phone calls from that number.

Just got a text from this unknown number saying:

"Need extra holiday cash? You qualify for a payday loan up to $900, Recieve loan within 1 hour. No credit check required. Reply "payday" for more information."

Recieved on December 12th @ 8:59 AM

I don't give out my cell number except for private business and work, never anything else, how they got my number is unknown to me. I do know there are computer dialers that can call at random without actually being given your specific number. Prehaps that's what it was.

Got the same msg. I bought stuff from Bargaincell.com and Meritline.com a couple days ago. And how dumb am I to use my real phone number... I think they sold our phone number to make profit of us...

Same as Jade above, also a note.. Two fraud emails happened within the same time frame, I recieved one where my MOM was stranded in London, and another asking me to send her money via western union to help out.   after those I got the above mentioned text.

I've recieved 3 today from varying numbers, this one included.

Received this text from both 408-840-6852 and 562-513-8428 (at 7am on my day off... *groan*)

Get an application that blocks people for your phone. it's worth it

Curious, did any of you respond to any craigslist ads recently, namely in the free section? Some of those ads are spam and just trying to get your email address and phone number. That's what I did, unfortunately.

I got the same message from this number: 408-834-4776

"Need extra holiday cash? You qualify for a payday loan up to $900, Receive loan within 1 hour. No credit check required. Reply "payday" for more information today (December 7, 2010 at 1:49 p.m.).

My family recieved the "do you need extra holiday cash email" also. 2 times on my Verizon cell phone and 3 times on my wife's Verizon cell phone.. from varying 562-507-xxxx numbers. All within the last week or so too. I replied "REMOVE ME PLEASE"..  shall see what happens from there.  Maybe we all need to update our DO NOT CALL List.. your phones expire after a while and have to be updated.

I also got unsolicited telemarketing texts from 562-507-7257 on Monday November 29, 2010 and on Wednesday December 1, 2010 saying ?Do you need extra holiday cash? You qualify for a payday loan up to $900. Receive loan within 1 hour. Reply ?payday? for more information. Fast and easy.?

I got exactly the same text message from 408-840-6852 on Sunday December 5, 2010.

I do not have a texting package on my cell phone contract, so I have to pay for these texts myself. So I too would like to get more info on how to block these people from texting me!
