Robo call from the message that was left.  Message stated this was my final notification to lower my interest rate.  Dis-regarded call and message.

I just recieved a call from 562-916-7893.. just like everyone else, they do not leave messages!

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. I believe it is a phishing scam. Says they can lower the interest rate on my credit cards. Funny thing is, i don't have one.

It keeps calling me on my cell phone... Has the same recording that you have typed out. I am going to block them. My bank would contact me if there were an issue...this is probably a scam to steal your info.

Just like most of the complaints above, it seems to be a scam. I got this voicemail (http://bit.ly/19nxYRt) in Google Voice.

December 27, 2013 09:30...got call, answered, listened to the 30 second message that said it was urgent I take this call to lower my rate on my account.  I pressed '1' to connect to an account representative just to mess with them.  I got connected to someone who began a prepared 'spiel' about 'my account'.  I said, "Sure, just tell me the last four digits of my account number", he abruptly told me "In your F#@KING dreams..." and hung up on me...yep, sounds legit to me!!!

Got a call from this number at 9am 12/27/13, did not pick up, let it go to voicemail.  The message was something about my final notice to lowering my interest rates...on what?  I have no idea, but it sounds like a total scam.

Just got a Voicemail from this number. Apparently the message started playing before my vm started recording, so I just heard the back end of the message about lowering my interest rates. I'm going to report the number to my state's Attorney General.

I got a call from 562-916-7893 at 8:35 AM Central time, caller id said it was Staples but we don't have a cc from them.  I answered
but hung up when I didn't get anything but a recorded message on increasing credit line.  I think it's time to do a free credit report just
to be on the safe side.  

Claimed to be visa credit card. Asked for the expira tion date on my card. Told them I did not know.  They got an attitude. ...

This number calls with automated message - want to make it stop

Got a call. I'd said staples but I don't have a staples cc. Obviously a scam

I sure wish this was my "final notice" - they call multiple times and one time I did press the number requested and told them I have no CC anyhow. I used to tell them I used to work there and that it was a scam, and after the "quality" people spied in on enough of those calls, suddenly they don't call anymore. I was essentially trying to get them to quit (the job) like I did. Maybe worked, too. Anyhow, at least those particular people didn't call anymore. I had the advantage of knowing where the call center was and they don't like that. I told them I'd stop by sometime to request in person that they never call again, too once. Another idiot kept calling and I traced the call to Jamaica. I asked him how things had been going in Kingston. Never called back again. Someone also suggested somewhere that you say "This is them, operator, trap it!" and then hang up immediately. It worked for a couple of these scammers. We repeatedly hear that terrorists' #1 way to make money is phony charities. I say no more calls, period. If people want to give, then let them find a charity on their own. How hard can it be?

Just got a call on my cell -- no VM.

I received a called saying that I qualify for an interest reduction on my credit card. They did not identify themselves and when I asked they replied "from Chase,Citibank, Bank of America" and then they asked me if I have more than $3,000.00 in debt so I had a bad feeling and I hang up. Be aware.

Christmas day 9;00 AM   THIS IS ONE PRESENT SCAMER.  Land line based in ca.  Phishing for info !

Received call from (562) 916-7893 - callerid staples.  Then they said they were bank of america, not staples.  When pressed they said "we must have had a wrong number" .

I got the call at 2:22PM today. I answered (in case it was one of my vendors) and no one responded, and then it hung up on me. I am also on the National "Do Not Call" List....meaning I am not supposed to get telemarketing calls.

Got missed call at 1040 hrs PST.  
Caller ID says Norwalk, CA.  
Left no message.
Called back and now no answer.

Same here.  I just got it at 2:00pm EST.  It said Staples so I almost answered it, but I waited for a message.  They didn't leave on so I guess it wasn't legitimate.

Staples should also be notified that their number is being used in a scam/ fraudulent call..

Received a call from this number. No one was there. Called back and got the busy signal. Thanks to all above for the heads up about this number.

Caller ID said it was Staples.  Got the call 9:01 am 12/26/13.  They left a message.  Important message about lowering my interest rates.  

caller id said the # was from Norwalk, CA.  Didn't recognize the #, so didn't answer.  No message left.  Now that i read it was a cc scammer, glad i didn't waste my time.  Thanks to everyone for posting

Received call from this number. Recorded voice said about "your credit have no problem, but if you want to lower the monthly payment...." It was a spam phone call.

Just got a call from this number and ignored it because I was at work.  They did not leave a message....

Not stop! I have recieved multiple calls. Christmas day. 11 pm at night, doesnt matter. If I knew who was doing this i would cut their brake lines.
