About my results blocking 562-941-5831: Last week I blocked this number 562-941-5831, a 'home improvement'-type telemarketer who had called me 4 separate times. Now I get a call from a very similar number, 562-941-5858 (1/24/2014), a female selling home improvement work, using the (old, worn-out, phony) name of "Home Center". I'm sure it's the same caller, trying to get around my call block.

By the way, after she asked me what work I was thinking of doing, I told her to shove it. My suggestion: Above all, don't be nice. They are low-life, who care not about you. You are just a number.

They will not stop calling no matter how many times I tell them I am not interested. They say they've talked to me about home improvement before and I told them to call me back, which obviously isn't true I don't even own a home. I am blocking their number but come on now get a life! Stop trying to steal from hard workers! They are the scam artist that prey on the elderly, or naive, stealing peoples money. If they were legit they would not hang up when I say I am not interested they would be polite. Really really frustrates me that this cannot be taken care of, that these people are allowed to do this. There has got to be some way of catching someone when their caller ID is coming up.

1/14 10:20 PST Just tried to call again.  When will they learn?  So frustrating that this is the 3rd garbage call today and it isn't even noon!!

I received a call from a person who told me that he represented the Home Center in Whittier.  He told me that I had previously contacted them and was calling me back to see if they could provide a quote from me for any construction or home improvement projects.  I told him that I never remembered calling them, and when I asked him for the address of his company, he hung up on me.

This number called my home on December 16, 2013 at 9:20 am. Whitepages.com says this number is from Whittier, CA and the phone carrier is Verizon Landline.

12/04 9:48 PST  They just don't get it, no matter how many times they call my number, they won't get an answer.  Oh well, no skin off my nose.

several calls from this number recently.  It's trying to look like a local friend or business.  Being on the "Do not call" list is worthless.  i get calls from every state in the US.  Don't answer.

I had to prod & ask again for the name "QUINCY JONES'" nature of the call...

HAD my F-N NAME but couldnt pronounce it correctly.....So as I expected a BS Call....

Said he spoke to me personally a year ago about doing some home repairs!

11/18 14:29 PST Still trying to call but once again, rang once only.  ID still reads California and I am guessing they will continue to try calling ad infinitum.  Oh well, no skin off my nose.  They can robo their fingers to the bone.

Kept getting calls from 562-941-5831 for home improvements. I said to be removed from the list and don not call again. But kept on getting calls.

11/11 12:11 Tried yesterday and again today.  May eventually get the idea that there will never be an answer to this caller.

11/11 12:11 Still trying.  Calling nearly every day.  Eventually maybe the light will dawn and they will realize they aren't going to get thru.;

This number calls often and doesn't say anything.  When I call back it say's no longer in service.  I want it to STOP!

11/10  11:26 Some contractor trying many times to drum up business by harassing unwary homeowners.  Heaven help you if you have a home and/or have had work done.  It seems to make you open game for any and all.

11/10 11:26  The hits keep coming.  Tried to call again.  It appear "nomorobo" is working because it only rang once and my own call blocker doesn't show that I have blocked this number.

Got a call from them today very rude, new to me, just a note, I put my phone to answer on my computer fax line first ring, seems to have cut my calls by more than 50 %, guess I will have to do it again soon

10/23 14:30  2nd call in 15 mins. apparently  home improvement cos.  Fed up to the teeth with these people, but impossible to report all of them.  So difficult to get rid of these calls once you have work done.  They (contractors) seem to crawl out of the woodwork.

Keep getting calls from this number. When I told them I was not interested in their "home improvement" offer and hung up the telemarketer called me back on his personal cell phone and called me some very unkind names. My husband called him back and confronted him. Of course he hung up. Received another missed call from this number today. If they keep calling I am going to report them for harassment.

telemarketer or pay phone. You can not call that number back as it will come up as disconnected.

10/21 10:14  Unidentified and although rolled to voicemail, apparently hung up as soon as it did.  Have no idea who and what this is about and just wanted to record call.
