unsolicited call about lowering intrest
Kyle 2014-02-07 15:35:16 Unknown
Calling it won't do any good. I tried returning the call and got a message that it was out of service, so it is probably a spoofed number.

I received a call from 563-313-5745 for the 1st time today. I did not answer because I did not recognize the phone #. After reading all these posts I will be blocking this # from my phone. Sadly, it will only be a matter of time before they start calling from a "new & different" number. These scammers are scum & hopefully there is a special place reserved for them in hell.

Received a call from 563-313-5745 (Iowa) but did not answer. Glad I didn't. I'm also on the DNC list. Luckily I can (and will) block this number from future calls.

Bunk credit card rate reducing call... when will this garbage stop? Aahh, the good ol U.S., where citizens can constantly be scammed and the gub'ment won't do a thing about it.

Just received this call on my cell phone but didn't answer it.

"How can a "disconnected" number call you???"
The number on the Caller-ID was spoofed (faked). Both the Caller-ID number and the Caller-ID name can be spoofed.

Miss the call from 563-313-5745. Went to call it back, recording comes on, "the number has been disconnected". How can a "disconnected" number call you??? A few minutes after that, a call came in, "unknown name / unknown number". I am getting "REAL" tired of these phone companies making tons of money offering scammer's these phone numbers. Doesn't matter if it's a cell phone number or landline, when a call comes into our phone, "we should" have "the right" to know who and where it came from...period!!! Think my next step is going to be, finding the carrier who gave out the number and sue them... for the harassment's, because this is getting ridiculous!!!! I thought the Federal FCC was supposed to regulate these people??!!!

Recorded message about a reduction in credit card rate. I hung up and called back. Number has been disconnected
or no longer in service. "SCAM"
AT&T 2014-02-05 18:29:48 Unknown
"I'm sorry.....this number is no longer in service....if you feel as though you have reached this number in error....please hang up and try again..."
Amanda Taylor 2014-02-05 18:13:41 Prank Call
This number continues to call about "cardmember services" and when you actually speak to someone and ask to be removed from their call list they hang up on you. This is SPAM and my number IS on the Do Not Call List. Repeated calls.

"Someone we do business with routinely, like Facebook, Google, or another company which uses our cell phones to "confirm" our ID has obviously sold our cell #s. "
No, that's not obvious.
It would be pretty easy to harvest numbers by just calling them all in order and having a system note which ones are working.
There are also companies that sell lists of phone numbers. If you think not, just look at the "reverse phone number" services.
Gompers 2014-02-05 17:36:48 Unknown
"When you call back it says the number has been disconnected or no longer is in service! That is stupid cause I called right back after I DID NOT answer the call, "
The number can be spoofed so it looks like they're calling from a number but they aren't. They can be using VoIP and can be located anywhere in the world.

"Rachel from Card Holder Services" is at it again.
You will not get a voicemail, if you do, it's useless.
You cannot call the number back, it's "disconnected".
I'm located in WI. I've checked, my number has been on the DNC list for years. You can't say anything about the list, asking to be removed, or to not be called anymore without getting hung up on. From what I know, this is against the law. I will get more calls from this "service", under multiple numbers. Companies using "Rachel" have already been slapped on the wrist a few years ago, but they are still using the same scam and the DNC list to get these numbers. I've taken to filing the calls under websties such as this, and I reported the old number they called from. The calls did stop from that number, however, it's obvious they're just replacing the "calling from" number to something that hasn't been reported/caught yet.
Answer the calls, you need the name of the caller and the company in order to report the calls!
REGISTER for the DNC. If you're on it already, REPORT THESE CALLS.
You can register, check for registration, and report all in one site: https://www.donotcall.gov/
