This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Have been called twice at my business address,an Indian accent asking for my daughter,saying it was legal matter and she needed to get in touch with his senior lawyer to confirm the matter. When I asked my daughter she said she knew nothing about it and if they rang again ask for the paperwork. So when I looked on the internet about this number,this site came up and was relieved to know that its all a scam. Its disgusting to know that these people out there are taking over peoples' lives and troubling them to get what they want. Whose giving them our numbers and names and is it about time the authorities did something about these people.

thanks i was really paniking..they keep calling my work..the last time they rang i said i didn't work her no more.. i hope they sod off.. i tried calling back but the phone never rang.. surely they must know ppl are on to them?

I also just received calls from them claiming I had a payday loan it's scary the amount of information they get they actually phoned my work to ask for me I told hem to go ahead and I would see hem in court

I called the number they left on my voicemail and got into it with some guy asking where my paperwork was he said they sent numerous emails to me (which they have not) I asked why it had not been sent in post he kept saying about the emails I said you are legal firm and you do not send docs in post that is not right. I hen made if clear I would not send them any money it was it going to happen he then started shouting at me and I repeated I would never send any money he then hung up.

You are right, we should all inform watchdog and similar shows. I took a call from these people today on reply number 01617381346, they wanted to speak to my son who wasnt home.While i was looking at this site, realising what a scam it was, they phoned my son at work with threats and he paid them before i could warn him. We are now desperately trying to get the money transfer stopped. This is sickening.

i received same calls today. Frost and Jacobs law associates. I live in the UK. Got Indian man called Victor Johns ! They seem to pick English names for themselves - The number I was given to phone back was 01617381346.So glad I read your post, then I was sure it was a scam. Have reported call to police. This is a great website.

I had the same call at work and when I rang them they said that they where taking me to court for a pay day loan , I have told the police and they said it's a scam the number is 01617381347 I think this needs to go to watch dog

Company's can now buy data bases ,they are a total scam ,hide your number and keep calling them back asking for random people's names and they find them it's so funny,or phone and order a takeaway ,don't let them get you down, have fun and f@&k em . Enjoy ,me uk

Just had a call Fromm these total fraudsters b*****ds ,and to think that there are people that actually fall for this scam ,mr John smith or whatever his name was ,said that I had applied for some loans fraudulently and they wanted money (2k lol) now or I would be getting a visit from the fraud squad ( bungra style ) I told them that was fine and to bring me a Chicken tikka masala on there way for me as I was hungry.GUTTED they never come .fooooools they need to get up earlier for that scam .dont let them get to you people.

Vee - I had the same thing today they said I owe quickcash and they had to read something to me.. They said I have to pay xxxx and that they wanted my lawyers details.. I said I know nothing of this they said they had to put me through to there supervisor they have my work number and email address.. I don't know that to do now!!. I also live in the UK.. Do I take it that it's a scam?

I got so many calls from this number &  a 567-248-4335.. the guy told me his name was Edwin Green.. before it was Marc Jacobs.. I asked him how much I owed & he said 212.00 but would settle for a $100.00.. so i pretended to agree to wire the money, but i needed a name & address.. he gave me Julie Ann Mallak Silver Springs, MN.. that's all.. told he I needed a FULL ADDRESS & he said i didn't need it.. then I get a call from a 911 from INDIA TWICE saying the police were on their way,, sounding like the same person,,told him i was doing some research on him & his company & he told me 2 SHUT UP.. I DIDN'T KNOW WHO I WAS DEALING WITH.. told him the whole convo was being recorded & all he could say was , God Bless you & I wish u well.. I'm so tired of these calls because I know they'll call back.. bad thing is.. I didn't even complete the loan application, b/c I didn't want 2 go through the problem!!

They call several times a day telling me i have a law suit against my social security number,I told him to send it to me in the mail.He then said he will just send a police officer to my home to take me to jail lthen i will have to pay bail money.They have been told not to call!!

THEY ARE NOW CALLING ME NON STOP, AT HOME AND AT WORK TELLING ME THAT THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE ME ARRESTED. THEY TOLD ME I COULD RETIFY THE ISSUE BY MAKING A WESTERN UNION PAYMENT TO A FAKE A** ATTORNEY NAMED: JULIE ANN MALLAK....... THEY ARE CRAZY. i got a call from this number 567-244-0633 and last week and they say they will have me arrested for loan. loan that I never knew about it. it was stupid of me sending them a money gram i didn't think about it was a scam or fraud. they also give me this # 760 491 0006 and they say it way ORANGE COUNTY phone # but when I do a search for this number it say is located in Boron, California its exchange 491 is managed by PAC-WEST TELECOMM, INC-CA, the number is currently on switch number LSANCARC5KD (switch is technical specification for phone hobbyists. I also say around 75% peoples reported it as "UNKNOWN" Latest people reported the number as that of "JOHN SMITH" OR STEVEN SABASTIAN. Please Please peoples do search for this number 760 491 0006 and see for yourself. I also got call from this person his name also Steve Sabastian  they all using different name to get money from people. if anyone who have this kind of problem scamming go to YOUR POLICE STATION FILE OUT COMPLAINT FTC ( FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION) and the police will be notify that this person is a scam or fraud.

Someone called me from this number at 7 a.m. I don't know who these idiots are, they never identify themselves. I am sick of this.
