I had an email from a craigslist.add I am running.   First he said email him at Donald567879 at gmail, then when I emailed that, in which he had already asked for my Cell number.  I emailed Donald, and because.I use gmail when he emailed back it showed up Cstrube007 at.gmail.  This was shown next to his name.  He wanted.me to take my add for a stereo system.down.  Give him my address,Cell and full name as he was.mailing a check and wouldn't be able to see item due to.Work.  Said he was sending a shipping company,odd for an installed stereo system and would add an extra 30.00 so I would allow him to.have over other offers.  If you google the cstrube email.  It pulls up under craigslist scams.  I knew something was off, so never responded.  Though he has my Cell.  My question is what does he do with your number as I see.people on this page asking this.  Also,a Chris arrive was arrested.in another state for multiple craigslist burglaries.,,please see if its the same guy.

I posted a guitar on Chicago Craigslist, and this joker tried to pull a fast one.  He seems to be using a new phone number.  Pass it on!

Well well well I knew it seem to be too good to be true.will people here is tony cooks new scam.as of 1130 this morning I received an email. Mr Cook is looking for a business partner he want you too except is mail pay his bills and run his business while he is away on business in west Australia for which he will pay you 650 $ a week. Nice try tony but your losing your touch. Thank you people for posting its not to see American standing up for each other.

I have encountered this man responding to one of my emails, with the exact same lettering as Doug's craigslist response. He goes by the email: (milemags4@gmail.com) and asked for paypal details. I googled his craigslist response and came to this forum, thank you.

He is still at it. Now using Robert Donald,  still a marine engineer at sea.  I fell for it because he is using Paypal (fake) letter head.. fake paypal ID numbers   Paypal can not do anything they say. He is now using CA address

Well, he's still at it!! I received the same exact email this morning regarding an item I posted last night on Craigslist...from Peter Flood!!!

Just got the same scam from "Donald Duke" about a motorcycle I was selling.  
Received 2 emails from him from different gmail accounts, which did not seem right.
I informed him I already had a paypal account and would send an invoice to his paypal ID; once payment clears from paypal to my bank, would authorized title transfer and pickup.  Also asked that we speak on the phone or via Skype before we continue.   I doubt I will get a response back.

vtCountryGirl@verizon.net responded to my craig's list post for a vehicle. when i clicked reply the receiving address came up as PeterFlood55@gmail.com. no good... glad i researched him.

Got the same message from Peter Flood yesterday for a craigslist piano post.  1st message came in on "jaynda@bellsouth.net"  all others are from "peterflood55@gmail.com"  Same message.  Piano is a gift for his father.  Pick up agent.  SCAM!  Don't get sucked in!  S.Kid

we got exactly the same story from Donald Duke on Oct. 25th wanting to buy our 5th Wheel for his Dad as a surprise birthday present. We told him cash or nothing and gave him no information, than goodness! He sure is mighty busy scamming people!

Ugh, he got my phone number and email then I found this site I closed my PayPal account so I hope that will be the end of him. I am not sure what he can do with my phone number and email but I am scared to find out, these guys are ruthless. Does anyone have any advice from me? I am sure he'll be responding to me soon showing a confirmation that he deposited $ into my no longer open PayPal account.

Wow. I'm so glad I listened to my instinct & called PayPal about the fishy e-mails I received confirming payment for a travel trailer I listed on Craigslist. The e-mails people have posted about the buyer being a "marine engineer", etc were nearly identical to the one I received. It sucks that there are so many dishonest idiots out there. Thanks for posting this so I know I'm not the only (nearly) suckered person out there!

Got the exact same letter.  Decided if it was" too good to be true", it had to be SPAM!!  That's where I put it!!!  Then decided to google Donald Duke and found all this info.  Refraining from writing him back---"DON'T MESS WITH GRAY HAIRED GRANDMA!!!!"

Well I am so stupid. He used donaldduke1@gmail.com on me. As a fool I gave him my e-mail, name; and cell phone #. No call yet. What can I do now?

Me too. Had to do with the sale of an automobile. Thanks for your posts. Also found him on a site called scambook--2 complaints registered. I didn't post one, just because I'm not sure about scambook itself.
