Bridget called into the technical support department of my company and requested someone in sales. She said she was from Progressive Business. I put her on hold to find someone to direct her to and she hung up.

Got a call today from this number and it was a lady wanting to speak to the person in charge of sales.  Her name was Danielle but would not give a company name.

This was a woman who spoke in an assertive, borderline aggressive manner. As I deal with the environmental part of our company she said she had some information regarding new EPA guidelines.  Hello? EPA would not call to update us. When I told her the person she was looking for she would have to call security and they would forward her call.. I tried to call the number back and it went to voice mail which her mail box was full.
My take on this was it was not a sales call but some type of scam of some sort.

They call me often as well, never leave a message. However, I agree with an earlier posting that its from Progressive Business Solutions.  I'm in HR, and they are always catching me off guard, or calling the switchboard to have the call transferred to me.  I answer and they want to send me a free preview of what ever newsletter they are promoting that week (I think it's different each time they reach me).  Then I receive an invoice in the mail from them.  I have since blocked the number as my office line is now forwarded to my cell.  That makes me happy :)

A lady asked for our maintenance manager...."what was his name again?"  I asked her what company she was with and she rattle off something really fast so I asked her to repeat it....."PBP."  I asked her twice what that stood for and both times she didn't answer........but I knew she was there.  I hung up.....loudly.

Calls and leaves no message. I have a new cell phone that allows me to block calls now! Hurray! (HTC One)

Calls my cell phone every morning, never leaves a voicemail.  

I have repeated calls from them on my extension.  Several every day.  They never leave a voicemail. No company name on the ID.

Caller ID says call is from Williamsburg, VA and they've called every day for about a week.  The Rodents from this company are the rudest people on the planet.  I know they're calling from a boiler room because of the background noise.  It's always someone different calling and they ask for either the safety manager or the sales manager or the person who makes payroll decisions.  As a small company multiple individuals share responsibilities, therefore, I need more info to be able to transfer them to the proper individual.  Since they won't give the info to me I now transfer them to a telephone at an empty work station.

A lady called asking for a Larry, but we don't have anyone named Larry here. She said "Ok, well do you know who your Maintenance Manager is?" And I said, "Of course I do. But I need a current contact name in order to transfer the call." I told her I could give her our email if she would like to forward her information over electronically. She declined saying some empty threat about asking her manager what she should do about this. Cold callers need to realize that if you don't have a contact name at a company you probably won't be able to talk to someone. It's just how the world works these days. No one has time to take cold calls with the state of the economy now.

Carolyn Dunbar said she was calling for Jay. The same lady called yesterday asking for someone that had not worked for the company in 8 years and got Jay's name.
Today she was calling regarding employment law and regulation. Said she was with the Center for Employment (something) couldn't understand that last word of the name she said. Was most insistent to talk to Jay. Told her Jay not available, asked if I could help, she finally said they want to send us a couple of free newsletters  regarding employment legal issues. The newsletter, she says, is about who is being sued and what they are being sued about.  I told her that we have no interest in their newsletter. She fairly politely ended the call.

Telemarketer is trying to reach HR Manager to sell their aids/services.

A  RUDE person called the switchboard asking for me by my first name. When operator inquired about leaving a message she was told the information was "confidential" and they would call back.

they left me a message saying I'm approved for a PayDay loan (for which I never applied). I get these calls alllllll the time from them and other fake numbers. Always tell them to remove me and they still randomly call. So annoying.

I work in marketing for a non-profit. I have gotten 3 calls from this number in a week. Good thing that I rarely answer my phone. Always hang ups. Now I know why....

Display said Pennsylvania, and the woman on the line asked for my CFO by name. She left a voice mail. I heard call center sounds in the background.

The caller ID says "Pennsylvania". They keep asking for the sales manager and asks by name.They will not leave a message. They call several times a week. They seem to catch me off guard each time they call, but now I have the number posted next to the switchboard, so I WILL call their bluff next time!!!

Called ID read, "PENNSYLVANIA".  The caller identified herself as Teresa from PBT and asked for our Director of Marketing by name.  When I asked what this was in regards to, she told me "sales" and when I asked what kind of sales, she hung up.  I tried calling the number but only reached a full voicemail box.

I have received multiple calls from this number, and when I answer the line no one speaks. I have tried calling it back, but it says the mailbox is full. I want to be removed from their calling list but since I can't get a hold of anyone this seems impossible. Very frustrating.

^ adding to this.....  She called again today, and was very nice as usual.  Said she was calling on behalf of the Center for Education and Employment, and was trying to send my boss a newsletter called Legal Alert.  After I patiently probed for about 3 minutes, I she decided to just send the newsletter to his email address.

This person keeps calling, asking for my boss by name.  Never leave a message and say they will call back.  They call at least twice a week.

someone  from 570-244-4981 is calling our school during study hours and really disrupting classes. The person refuses to leave a message with the teachers and has called multiple times. We would like to put a stop to it. If the person wants to talk to the Board, he or she can call every first Monday of the month during 7:00pm and 7:15pm

Continually call  (at least once a day for the past week or so...)  to speak to the Head of School about "legal disciplinary issues"...finally told them to send me an e-mail  we shall see.....

Represented themself as had a "couple of legal questions" to ask our Head of School.

Got a call and googled the number here.  Found this article.  Rated F with the BBB?  Gotta be crooks.  I've had them try to get money out of our company before too.  They are ruthless!

Received call from 570-244-4981 to voice mail.  Left no message.  Strange for a legitimate business call.

This call shows up as being from Williamsport PA. They've been calling every day for two weeks. I don't pick up and they don't leave a message. When I see the call coming in, I just push my "ignore" button - easy enough! I certainly wouldn't pick up after seeing some of these comments!

Caller ID said Pennsylvania - woman asked for the person in charge of payroll.  Asked what company she was with and said Progressive Business.  I told her we don't speak to that com pany and hung up.

This call came in twice requesting to speak to our Principal or Vice Principal.   Acted like she was on official business and used my Principal's first name as if they had spoken before.  When I offered to take a message she said she was from a legal Center for Education.
