I found the number on the internet. It belongs to a cellphone in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. It even gives me the location off of looks like fm rd 171. Not too far from Merli-Sarnoski County Park.

Well, I called it again, and this time I get nothing, no ring, no message, not even a disconnection signal. How strange.

I just called 570-280-3035 to find out whose number it belonged to. A guy answered but wouldn't give me his name. He wanted to know who I was looking for, and I told him I'm not looking for anyone, I want to know who has been calling me everyday. He seemed to be slightly surprised, but he did inform me that he did not live alone. May be someone else can call the number and see if they can get more information out of him.

I finally had to put id caller to find out who was calling and not saying a word, not leaving messsages, and hanging up on me. The number is 570-380-3035. It says Unknown Name, Oct 18, 7:15pm. These calls are very annoying. I'm going to block this number.

Are calls from political organizations or calls soliciting for charities covered?

Political solicitations are not covered by the TSR at all, since they are not included in its definition of ?telemarketing.? Charities are not covered by the requirements of the national registry. However, if a third-party telemarketer is calling on behalf of a charity, a consumer may ask not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity. If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000 .
What about telephone surveys?

If the call is really for the sole purpose of conducting a survey, it is not covered. Only telemarketing calls are covered ? that is, calls that solicit sales of goods or services. Callers purporting to take a survey, but also offering to sell goods or services, must comply with the National Do Not Call Registry.

And i THINK bill collectors are exempt too?   the fed do not call list says who's exempt from the dncl and who isnt

If they are political or charitable, un fortunetly they are exempt

I am on the do not call list and am getting many calls of this type.  Please remove me from your callig list.

I have been receiving calls from this number for days now and I work odd hours so I can't answer.I've tried calling back and it just disconnects without even ringing. Its really aggravating.

I just got a call from this number, answered and no response. Could be political, have had several in the last week or so.

Received calls from this number at least the last couple of days.  Unavailable called name, no message.  I've been ignoring them - now I may block.  Whoever it is, if they don't leave a message I have to assume that I don't need to do business with them.

Asked for Mary Ann, advised he had wrong number and they promptly hung up

I just got 2 calls today from this same number.  I was thinking itmight be polital calls but don't know for sure.  I didnt answer either and no message.

Unknown name came up on the CID. Didn't answer it. No message left either. Probably another scam, but can't say for sure. Could have been a wrong number as my number is one off from a cancer treatment center, so I get a lot of wrong numbers. Won't be calling back to find out. If they want the cancer treatment center then my voicemail will inform them they misdialed.
