ya this number is not Local Call I live in Mich. Everyone needs to revert back to using whistles again, I used to so I will go find it and start using it again.

People need to find something else to do than bug people, I am going to revert back to using a whistle, next time my phone rings from this number 570-763-4686, I will pick up the phone and blow it, maybe they will stop calling. Everyone have a great day.

Got a call yesterday. Caller ID listed the number as originating in Kingston PA.  It rang about 10 times but  did not answer it.

It also says it is a land line.

I looked it up and it says it is from Lazerne, PA .  I am not paying a dollar to find out the name.  They do not leave a message on my answering machine either.

I keep receiving  calls from this number and on the caller ID it says Local Call A.  They call at least once every other day.  I finally decided to look up the number.  I live in MA and my # is on the no call list.  It used to work out fine until they figured out a way around it.

570-763-4686  AKA   LOCAL  CALL AREA on caller ID  -  are  telemarketers  from near Scranton PA   calling  and  trying to intimidate the  answerer of the phone call  by saying  they are  with the  local police.  I know the county top cop friend of mine  in my  county I live here  in FL  so I called Bob G  to ask about it.   THESE  folks  calling from  PA  are   bull (s)*hit artists,   the police  chief  told  me  trying to intimidate folks to  contribute to some imaginary fund.   His  advise blow a whistle in their  ear and hang up on them and  don't re- answer their calls ever again.  The local  police wherever you live can be reached at their NON emergency number,   so  don't  tie up  the  emergency number  calling the real police  about these telemarketing scam artists  from PA.

When it those not work you can block there numbers so they do not call you on the Verizon website ... i just also got Verizon so i know hot you feel.

Soo update ... i block the number in my Verizon account so i hoping that works..

I get call about every 2 weeks about helping the community falling officers. I have told them i do not have income so I cannot help them all the times they call me and its frustrating since i am thinking it from a job but it them.

My machine picked up ( an obvious machine) and some guy said "is ( ) there? Hello?" And hung up. Whoever it is, isn't very bright.

My phone said "local call area" too. And I'm also on the DNC list.

I just tell them they called the Pentagon...it usually stops after two times

Called my house several times saying they were looking for my husband which Im divorced and said they were the police! What jerks worrying me and my family!

This number called my grandma's new phone # asking for me, but using a last name i havent had since 1998. Didnt leave a message, but concerned her :(

Whoever has this number called my home on a SATURDAY morning at 8:15am.......we're on the Do Not Call List, and it came up as Local Call Area... GO AWAY.....

they are calling for a contribution for the families of police personnel killed while on duty...but, unsolocited calles are all scams to me!

I have an unlisted # that is on the do not call list and this # is annoying me. They leave no message.

Also received a call from this number several times, but they didn't leave a message.  Caller ID displayed caller from Kingston, PA.

I did receive a call from this number; however, they left no message......I have an unlised number, and I consider this another solicitor and a pesty one, at that.
