I also got a call and couldn't understand the message they left me so I called back. I got a female who told me to "go to hell" when I told her I wasn't interested in a loan. Ugh.

Indian sounding guy called me looking for Erica.  I told him that I'm sorry, Erica just passed away a few days ago (not true....I have no idea who Erica is).

He said "I'm sorry for that".  Then there was an awkward pause, after which I hung up.

I could tell he was totally disarmed by my response.  That response was intended to get this collective group of bogus people/numbers to stop calling me a dozen times a day about someone I don't even know!!!!!!!

just got a call from this guy.  He stated that I had been approved for a $10,000 loan and would be deposit in my bank account within 30 minutes. Ask me to call him back.  Something need to be done about these guys.  I have made calls to the State Attorney General's Office and was informed that they would mail me a form to fill out.  I have not yet received the form or any assistance from legal authorities.

They have been calling me for a few days. Leaving a message for someone else stating that Jeff, (not me) has been approved for a payday loan up to $10,000 and it will be transferred in to my bank account within 30 minutes once I call them back. So far, no $10,000.  lol

He has an accent like he is an Indian and he keeps calling harassing me. He called for someone else and I told him he had the wrong number. He called 8 more times saying that he was my boyfriend and that he wanted to meet me and he said that I signed up on this sex site. When my father got on the phone he told my dad that he was my daddy. I told him that i was gone call the police. he said he would just keep calling. i called the police to see if I could file a complaint and he called through yet again he somehow called my phone as an emergency called and it showed S.OS as if he was using some sort of emergency system to call me I don't know. But he called me S.o.s while I was talking to the 911 operator 4 times

Omg after I seem this I can't believe everything I'm reading this guy Shawn got my cell phone number and started calling me and harassing me but not about the federal investigations but telling me inappropriate things and he keeps calling me non stop telling me he wants to pay my bf money for me and that he wants to sleep with me! Caller says his name is Shawn Marsh with aheavy Indian Accent and he's employed with the Financial Investigation  Unit ,he says there's  alaw suit pending against my social,when i told him he's on a recorded line he got upset and started using obscene language ,i proceeded  to tell him to send the paper work out to the address he has on file,in the process of cursing he was trying to get me to verify my iinformation.

They keep calling my cell and saying I will be getting locked up and they keep calling my job saying I had a pay day loan and they want a credit card number and i told them to fax me the form that I would have signed if I did a pay day loan. That is when I got cused out and they keep calling my job. My job keeps bloking the number but they just call from another number

Threatened to have me on the court house steps if i didn't repay by a certain time frame. Called on the day money was put in my account. Claimed he was with the federal government.

I have recently investigated the same issue zay say experienced.  The victim received numerous calls on her cell phone and about 20 calls on the work phone before the call was placed on permanent hold.  The caller sounded like an adult middle eastern male and demanded money or the police would be at her place of work directly to place her under arrest.  He even had the last four digits of the victim's social security number.  But no amount was provided, no reason was given for the debt, no company name was provided.  No information was asked, just the demand for money in a loud, rude, threatening manner.  It did not sound like a phishing attempt but more like a harassing series of calls except that the idiot left a voice mail.

I just got a call from this number (heavy accent, am name...) saying i was approved for $1500 and to CB and verify my banking info...YEAH RIGHT!

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Guy with Indian accent (yet totally American name)says he is calling due to a payday loan i supposedly took out and didnt pay. What?!!!! i have only taken out one pdl ever!!! and i paid it off before their refinancing fees started. this company is calling my job repeatedly, tying up the phone lines with threats that the police will be here to arrest me, basically putting my job in jeapordy. common sense dictates if ther ereally was a loan and i needed to repay it, how does making me lose my job get you your money any faster?
