Robocall from Dem. Party of VA inviting me to an event this weekend. Actually left a message, which surprised me.

Called concerning a pancake breakfast featuring Mark Warner.

This was a robo-call (automated recording) from Brian Moran inviting me to his annual St. Patty's Day breakfast.

who/what is this unwanted caller?

What say somebody come up with a call back device that has a recorded msg (your choice of a number of annoying messages scripted to target the telemarketing industry, political offices, and non-profits).  When you get these types of calls, you simply program in their number and let the device run for a week or so.  Set up your phone to not send out your number, so that on the other end they only see the words "PrivateCaller."  Inundate their phone system with these calls.  Overload their operation with a time wasting activity - somebody or something needs to answer the call.  Fight back!

When calls go out from a call center (a room filled with 20 - 30 poor schumucks making call after call after call for minimum wage) the automatic dialing system dials 3 or 4 different numbers at the same time.  The first one at the other end of the line to pick up the call gets to hear the message and the other 3 calls are dropped.  As long as the computer sees your number it will continue to attempt to connect.  Once the operator has spoken with you, your number is moved from the active list, packaged with hundreds or thousands of other numbers and sold to the highest bidder.  

It may be a call coming from a non-profit organization or political office able to sidestep the Do Not Call List, but by any other name, it's still a telemarketing call.  The law needs to be changed to stop all such calls.

I received a few calls this number and they did no leave a message.  When I picked up they did not say anything.

Calls, does not leave a message on the answering machine...

Calls; leaves no message.  My caller ID only says "wireless customer" and the number.

Received 11 calls so far this evening, averaging 15-20 minutes apart.  Answered the first two calls but there was no one on the other end of the line.  Ridiculously irritating.

I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO THE DO NOT CALL BUREAU TONIGHT. I HAVE GOTTEN 2 MORE CALLS SINCE THEN.

I am continually getting phone calls from this number.  When I answer no one is on the line.  It has been 5 or 6 calls in the last 2 days.  Please make them stop.

Hi, I've been receiving multiple calls a day from this number. It disconnected immediately after I answered on the 4-5 times I have tried answering it. I have learned that it is possible for other countries to buy US lines to make calls from. Also learned from a dr. friend that sometimes it's a way to find out what time of day the family is home so that telemarketers or politicians can know when to call back and get an answer. This happened a few months ago with another telephone number and eventually if you just keep ignoring the calls, they will stop.

I got 8 calls from this number today I answered it some guy said 2 things and it was a man with a very deep voice. I got the call back and it was an opinion poll.

Calls almost hourly from this number but there is never anyone on the other end.

Called me 9 times so far today, almost every half-hour!  Nobody on the phone when I pick up.  So annoying!!

I receive numerous calls from this number which I do not answer  - I had 4 calls just this morning.  My phone screen identifies the caller as being a cell phone from Virginia.  No message is ever left.  Any way to block this number?

Got many calls from this number and none of them left a message. Of Course my number is on the DO NOT CALL list.

Do not continue to call 703-406-1010.  I will pursue any legal means necessary to stop these calls.  STOP IMMEDIATELY!!!  You have no idea how much we mean this!!!  BEWARE!!!!

I've gotten 4 phone calls from them JUST today---even get calls on Saturday... thank goodness for caller I.D. cause I just let it ring

7 calls per day for 2 or 3 days now ... no message, nobody on the other line when I answered. Super-annoying. On the Do Not Call list, please stop calling.

Called me three times a day. I picked it up on the third call. The person wanted to ask a question about election. I told them that my phone is on the no call list and I don't want to answer the question and they apologized and end this call. Hope that they will not call again

Keep getting calls from this number during business hours. Calls disconnect in 1 ring.

I just received another call from this number (2nd within 30 minutes) and I called back this time...there was a recorded message saying the call was from a public opinion poll and my opinion matters to them.
Interesting that they never take that opinion. Whatever the questions are.  VERY uneasy feeling....this makes about 5 calls from them.
