It is not apple. it was scam.  don't listen to it!!!!!!!

Just received text asking me to  visit testmobilesnow.com and enter code 1000 for chance @ getting free Apple iphone5 if I'm one of the first 1000 to respond.  Phone number I received text from in 571-242-3213.  This came in at 2:07 a.m. eastern time..........yes, I'm on the east coast!  Not happy!

Wow, you're really going a bit crazy here. Do you not realize it's a mass text that gets sent to random numbers? Nobody "got a hold of" your number.

I got a spam email about testing an iPhone approx 5 minutes ago. I'm really disgusted that some phone predator got a hold of my cell number. This world is filled with losers, honestly! I have a pay as you go phone and the creep cost me $2.00.  If I could locate this two-legged fungus in a petri dish I would punch him in the throat and end his telemarketing career!! Good vocal chords should not be wasted on such cretants.

Apple does not let the public beta-test their products.  That is strictly done by Apple employees.  Common sense would tell you that Apple would not risk having a forthcoming product fall into the hands of a competitor... or the press.  So it's definitely a scam.
