Called and said it was for a job reference -- of course that is not what it was, and it certainly reeks of being illegal.

I never answer calls from numbers I don't know. The voice-mail was nothing but silence for about 10 seconds. On a previous message they were looking for someone that is not me or anyone in my family.

I did not answer this call because I never answer calls from people I do not know. They left a voicemail which was nothing but silence for about 5-10 seconds. I assume it was a computer attempting to solicit me as it did Upsetgrandpa.

I have been receiving calls from this number on my cell phone for over a month. It is a recording stating they are looking for Tom Smith and that this is a collection company. They state that if I am not Tom Smith I should hang up.
| Katalyst 2010-07-13 15:27:47 Unknown |
I'm also behind on payments. It's better to contact Dell Financial directly to handle these issues, unless they direct you to their debt collector of your account.

The 571-261-0052 number just called me so I called it back from a pre-paid cell phone and the person answered "Dell Financial Services" but yesterday the man said it was PNB collections.

Got a ton of the blank messages as mentioned. I got a call and answered, and still had the blank silence.

I get a call from 571-261-0052 3 - 4 times a day. Get this though... no voice, just sounds like a quarter flipping on a counter three times. That's it. When I call the number, there's nothing. I think it might be pentagroup, but I don't have a way to prove it. It's totally unprofessional. I'm am sick of it.

i have received calls from this number every day for the past year and i mean everyday. they keep asking for a Leeland so after telling 365 times that i am not him. AJ Jessica and several others who are all employeed from this number said if i just told the truth and paid my bill they would quit calling me. well they didnt and i am not the person they are looking for so i called them 33 times in a row and told evrbody that answered this is not leeland and to remove my number from there system so on the 33rd call the lady assured me that i was removed guess what they called back 6 hours later and asked for leeland again and then this guy told me that i was uneducated because of my stutter and then hung up on me. mind you at this time i was far from polite but after 365 calls from the same morons what do you expect.

Called my workplace asking for a person by only giving their 1st name, which happened to be my name - obviously suspicious, I asked who they were politely - sometimes customers have questions & ask for their salesperson. BAD IDEA - she got smart with me & began asking a lot of questions. Finally, I told her my name & she finally gave the last name of who she was looking for - not mine. Big heated discussion for nothing - why didn't she say exactly who she was looking for - lawd have mercy!! And I'm supposed to be working! If they call you and you have the same name of the person their asking for - for the love of good health - get the last name too! Looking into having the number reported...

It is Pentagroup most likely collecting for Dell. They are a bunch of retarted nutsacks. I'm behind on some payments and I have been doing whatever I can to make payments. But after recent experiences.... fluck them. They leave no messages, they just fill up your voicemail. They think that their childish behavior works???? It is the opposite. I never answer my home phone and delete all messages. I block all their calls. I will never talk to them... and guess what they completely motivated me to go bankruped. They can keep calling... see if I care. It just makes me feel less guilty, because I will never give them a dime.

they are collectors... attempting to collect on a debt.
They can NOT collect on a debt that is more than 3 years old, unless you have made arrangements to pay.
***you can give this number to your phone company & ask that they BLOCK the NUMBER****
or you can write the company and request that the "Cease & Desist" calls. Search CEASE & DESIST collections... gives good info about your rights.

If you are located in NY - contact the NY Attorney General ASAP -
He has an ongoing investigation into illegal debt collection tactics - so MUCH OF IT IS GOING ON - they created a SPECIAL WEBSITE just to report this type of activity! www.NYDebtHelp.com
Although this particular Collection agency is located in Houston, TX - if they are calling people in NY - they can be reported to this website.
If you are not in NY -
File complaints with the Federal Trade Commission
YOUR State Attorney General
TX State Attorney General
The NY AG is busy tracking down and shutting down agencies that use ILLEGAL collection tactics - and can site numerous cases just impacting NY residents only. People who were illegally harrassed/sued COMPLAINED TO THE AG - that is why he is doing something about it!
Hopefully the rest of the states will start cracking down as well. BUT YOU HAVE TO REPORT IT !

Same occurence as the above from Pentagroup, but the repeated follow-up calls (all within less than 10 minutes) were from a different number.
(Got a call at 11:15 am 8/18/09, caller hung up on me when I politely asked who was calling! When I called back to ask that they not EVER call my unlisted phone number again (I am not the person they asked for) I got nothing but snotty, smart aleck responses ...then they had the nerve to keep calling back until I took my phone off the hook! I am making a complaint to the phone company. These calls were all from Pentagroup and involved two different phone numbers.
Caller ID: 571-261-0052
Caller: Pentagroup)
