They texted me from a similar number about a craigslist ad I have up. Seemed legit until the usual 'I am buying for my cousin....blah, blah, blah.."

if you google "penalty for do not call violation" you'll get a link to the www.ftc.gov website.  Apparently if you've previously ever registered your phone number for the Do Not Call list you can file a complaint.  Especially if when you answer, there's a pre-recorded message.  The penalty can be up to $16,000. for them.  They called me at 6:49am this morning, but I was already out and missed the call.  I will answer if they call again, just so that I can hear the pre-recorded message and file a complaint.

I received this call very early at around 8:05 am today (Sunday) and also left no message. I did a reverse match and the number is based out of WA, but is unpublished. I checked here but decided to call back and found that it is some sort of rogue company called "Hate Cozmo". The automated message said to wait on the phone while it retrieved my "file". Then all of the sudden this automated woman gives me a speech about how I should cash in my unused cell phone minutes, and also switch to this no-name carrier. I hung up half way through. I didn't have to press any numbers, but it may be one advertisement of many from this number. They'd best not call again!!

I got this call on my cell phone this morning at 9.06 CST.  It rang twice but hung up.  I didn't answer it because i didn't recognize the number. I called from my land line and the company says "Hate Cozmo" or "Hey Cozmo" i couldn't tell because it is an automated computer generated menu system---if press '2' the recording states "Hate cozmo is about getting something done now----" whatever that means and refers you to their website (which doesn't exist)

Just received a call from the same #, but it didn't ring long enough for me to answer it.  I called back from a land line, got the automated "hey cosmo" crap, & hung up without selecting any options.  Thanks for all the advice; I hope they don't call back.

Got a call, thought it was business related. It is a prank outfit called, "Hate Cozmo" that, when called back prompts a caller to hit a button and switch phone services. Do not call this number back or press any numbers!!!

I've blocked this caller.  Calls so many times per day, my phone battery goes dead.  Can't seem to keep them out of voice mail, at least one a day goes through to VM.  No one there, just backround noises.  Added to the Do Not Call registry.  Any other ideas?

Got a call from this number this evening. Note that everyone seems to get them either early in a.m. or around 8 or so at night. I am also on do not call list. I think everyone is right that this is some way for them to record "real" numbers that they can use later for nefarious purposes. Very aggravating.

Same as the others, one ring then hung up.  Caller ID shows "unnamed."  Didn't bother to call back as it appears this is their intention in making the call.

FOLLOWUP:  You can file a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx but they dont take any action, only log the data to assist other agencies.  If anyone knows of an agency that does take action I would appreciate knowing!
