Often, however, those lists have sketchy information that may be full of errors or include debts that already have been paid or dismissed. Called twice in a row, didn't leave a message. Probably a debt collector. Will put their number on MUTE so they don't continue to bother me!

ya Im Disabled to I always say whos calling and they assume they called the right house.Some times they look for my ex..so funny I need to know who wants him ..some dumb bill I guess. who cares..  im to disabled to work or get rid of phone guess ill can the number.. why not...who cares.!!. recently had a credit place drag me outta my home they are in trouble  got investagators watching them and waiting for the right time to bust them.. Got the Law on my side.!

When asset acceptance calls me I find the most vulgar rap music available,and crank it up.Lets see how they like being harrassed.

The caller id says it's from Washington, DC.  I never answer.  If it's a debt collector they have the wrong number.....we don't have any bad debts.  I think it's another scam.

These people are idiots.  They have been calling 1-5 times per day for years to a number that has been DISCONNECTED for years.  They need to upgrade their phone system to the 21st Century.  But I guess there is no money being in collections.

OMG! I've heard of calls like that. In fact, something like that happened to a friend of mine a few years ago. I think the family got a call on the day her mother's obituary came out AND on the day of the funeral!  Those people are so heartless.

They call when theirs a death in your family asking for the dead person ..!

They call constantly on a private number. Will not pick up. I am going to report them.

This number calls me day and night...no one answers, I will not answer anymore..and to make matters worst I am a disabled person with limited use of my hands and arms, I don't walk and it is a struggle for me to answer a  phone..but one evening I answered a call from Washington DC this is where this is from) and it was a man from La Rouche organization calling my number at 8:45PM.

Asset Acceptance continues to call my phone several times a day.  They leave no messages and when I answer it sounds like the like is open, but no one speaks then the line goes dead.  It is so annoying when it rings I just pick up and don't say a word, but immediately disconnect.  The Do Not Call List is useless.

This caller is ASSET ACCEPTANCE Corp.  Talk with  them today 01/15/11.  They were trying to collect a debt from 1998.

Hey the people that work for them are into that music, they're probably break dancing at their desk to it.

"Asset Acceptance", apparently a debt collector.  I wasn't in when they called, but they have called here a lot.  I called the number back and apparently they were looking for someone else (named Wilmer or Wilhelm or something like that).  The gentleman who answered and handled my call was polite and said he'd remove my number form the list.

Similar to most here.  I saw the number, didn't recognize it and let it go to VM.  All I heard on the screening was a dial tone.  So they obviously hung up right at the end of the outgoing message.  Called ID said Washington, D.C.

Received call and answered it as they had called several times and I usually don't answer calls from unknown prefixes, (571-431-1957)  Said they were Asset something or another and were a collection agency.  Said I owed money from a car loan from 1999 through a Target National Bank which for all I know doesn't exist, especially here in Arizona, told him he was calling the wrong guy and he threatened my credit and I told him go for it and I'd be after him for it, then he wanted to verify information. no no on SS number .. told him he was a crank call and not to call any more, he was still talking when I hung up on him.

They call every Wednesday night at 8:35.  I don't answer.

I keep getting calls from this number.  Someone this time named Sherry Lee.  Just says to call about an important business matter.  Yeah right!

Company identified themselves as "Assett Acceptance" and some Indian guy (not Native American) in a thick accent, said his name was "Sam".... Doubtful. Very insistant creep. I enjoyed hanging up after he was reluctant to identify himself and asked questions.

This company has called my daughter's private number leaving an automated message that I call immediately, this scared her, I live in Missouri and she lives in CA.  I do not know who they are are do I owe any debts, I am and have been debt-free for over 10 years.  Someone needs to shut these people down immediately.
