Called today for my wife... same company has called before but from another #.

Supposed to call 800-460-0082.

Got a call also on 10/29/09 approx 11AM.  I did not respond, but reported it to TX Atty. General.

The call back number from this terse sounding person who never identifies themselves is 760 423 1166. Upon Research, this is a number for CPS, a front company for Maurauder Collection Agency.. See Buddhibbs.com for the laundry list on the owner of this company.

This company called me and didn't Identify who or what they wanted. Just a Generic threat call. Left a message saying this is important matter and to call 1-571-431-1986. All my bills are Current. I use check or a debit card.

I also recieved a call from a "Thomas Tucker"  from this number.  Left no message.

All my bills are Current, I use cash or a debit card, and I haven't used a credit card in over 5 years! Sound like harassment and they need to be sued.

I answer the main line for a small(around 50 employees) construction company and receive calls about employee debt from collectors often. Many times I recognize the company's name. However, this is the first time I have received a call from 571-431-1986. My caller ID read "Case Management Division". I answered and a recording said press 1 to speak to a case manager regarding an urgent matter. So, I pressed one and was put on hold for a minute (can't believe I actually waited!) then it went to a woman's voicemail. It said her name, but I really wasn't paying attention. I didn't leave a message.  This is a waste of my time and the company's resources.

Left me a message to respond as the matter is urgent. Not sure what its about, I have debt but my payments are current and nothing is past due or over my limit.

Answered a phone call from this number in Virginia, "571-431-1986". There was a recording that stated I had a important matter to handle and to call 760-423-1166. There was no other information given. My number is unlisted and i have no debt or outstanding anything, I have no reason for anyone to contact me with this type of message. I have forwarded this information to my friend who is a local sheriff. Not sure what help he can provide, but it can't hurt.

My mom recieved a call from a "Thomas Tucker"  from this number.  He said a "Mrs Strong was handling this case".  He also said this was a federaly regulated case.  He reported he was from credit protection services.  I think I am going to give this one to the FBI.

Received a message on my answer-phone from a "Case Management Division"571-431-1986 (caller ID), at 11:09am on 11/9/09. The male voice did not identify himself or his company or who he was trying to reach.  However, he stated it was urgent I respond to another phone number,760-423-1166. I never respond to calls such as this!  However, thought it unusual enough to internet search and found this site.  Thought it might help others fight a fraud like this. I have no financial, ethical or legal issues that would cause this type of phonecall action.

Just got a call from 571-431-1986 "Case Management Division" (caller ID info).  Said press 1 to speak to a case manager regarding an urgent matter.  I didn't.  Said "otherwise, call 800 (did not catch it all)."  I simply hung up the phone and reported it to the TX State Atty General.

This is CPS out of California.  They buy existing debt for pennies on the dollar and then try to scare the crap out of people so they pay up.  They have tried to get ahold of me for 2+ years always stating that this is my "last chance to take care of the matter before it moves forward".  They usually leave a case number and sometimes the voice mail only says it is CPS and people think it is Child Protective Services.  They have multiple complaints against them for inappropriate collection procedures.  Send them a cease and desist letter.  Then when they violate it, turn them over to the attorney general in your state.  Make sure to keep a record of EVERY time they call and from what number, the date and time, etc.  If you talk to them AT ALL, it starts the timeframe back over for collections so don't talk to them on the phone.

Got a call from this number today. I also tried calling back but I couldn't complete the call as dialed. They want me that bad they can leave a message! It comes up on caller ID as "Case Management Division".

received call from above number 1-571-431-1986 on 9/12/2008 @ 2:48 p.m.
Said he was from Ford Motor Company.  Said my name was on a check that was written by a Carolina Felix for $500.00 on the end of July 2008, and it bounced.
He said I was responsible for it because my name was on the check.  I never opened up a checking account with Carolina Felix.  I told him it was fraud that my name was on the check.
He proceeded to yell at me and tell me that as far as Ford Motor Company was concerned, I was responsible for the check.
I said no, he continued to yell at me and I hung up.
I an trying to call him back today 9/13/2008 and my call cannot be completed as dialed.  How can I get thru to this number to resolve this matter?

Reminder call for a court date. I am being sued for not paying on a car i bought. i returned the car so i wouldnt have to go to court.

This company need to be reported for calling me more then 10 times a day.
