A call came in on my land line from this number and I let it go to the answering machine.  Thanks, folks, for reporting David Wells at this number and Amber(??) and Sarah at another number because I know this is someone I have no legitimate business with.  To cut down on calls like this, I have recently started using a call blocker device which installs on the phone line between the phone and the wall.  I have been really happy with it.  Just get online and search for "call blocker."  Cheers.

Same calls as above, its an info phishing scam. Just block the number.

Number belongs to CKS Financial. Even found a site offering to take legal action against them

Craigslist spam will send you a fake Cashier Check
And will say my movers will transport that item lol
Then they want you to wire the rest of the money
Your item is $400 they send the Fake Cashier Check for like $1,890.23 asking you to wire the rest for the shipment cost lmao.. Then your bank will close your account for Fraud lol..,

I dont get this thought cell phones were off limits. This guy sounds like he has my info already and just needs to verify.
WTH does he need to verify anything just send the stuff and let me figure it out.

Same as everyone else, David Wells or Amber Knight calling me daily......This is a scam and I am tired of it..

A message was left on my voice mail today.  The caller said his name was David and he was calling to make sure I received a legally required document or something and he can be reached at 571-482-4734.  Just like others who posted above, a message was left on my voice mail yesterday, which was a woman, Amber, who said they have some important matter with me and I need to call her to understand a consequence of their action or something like that.  That number called from was 757-296-0106.  it's creepy.  I don't have any unpaid bills or debts.  I did not call either of them.

Have gotten same call the last few days.  David Welsh or Wells (can't tell which) with essentially same message as others have posted.  I never answer numbers I don't recognize or unidentified numbers and I never call back.  I suspect all are scams or identity thieves.  Collection agencies are required by law to send letters first. Although, I have not checked state statutes on legal matters, I suspect written correspondence would be required first also.

This is a scam.  Please report these numbers on the DoNotCall website ran by the government and file a complaint.  Otherwise, they will continue to call people and scam others.

I just got a call from this number as well saying he was David Welsh and to call him back concerning a legal matter. I am on the no call list so he should not be calling in the first place. It has to be a scam or a person would call, not a machine

Just got a voicemail from David Wells. Said he needed to verify my address so he could send a legal notice. Called back, just rang. Called again got a woman who said David had just gone into a meeting. Told the woman to take my phone number off there list. I hate scam calls.

wow, I'm surprised to see all this has happened to others! I just got these calls recently both from an Amber at a (717) area code I think it was, and from David Wells (571) area code, he left a msg as well saying he had legally required notices for me... now, I've been divorced and been processed served, I knew it wasn't that as they just show up and don't warn you! I have NO bills so I have no idea who this is... but today I called out of curiosity that David Wells number and got a no answer, then a robot answering machine, SO not professional at all! and I left a msg NOT giving my name, only saying that this is my phone # that he called, and that IF he had that, and IF he was legit and not a scam artist, he also had my address and my name, IF he was legit to just mail me what he had and stop threatening me and stop calling or I'd sue! Five minutes later Amber's number came up and I left my machine off to no answer. Yes, best advice is to not respond at all, don't give any info and it may take a few wks, they'll stop.

I just received a call from David Wells, he refused to give me any info just that he had to speak with me about some personal business matters. I asked who he works for and he refused to tell me. I asked to speak with his boss and there was silence. I'm thinking David and Amber have no better lives than to annoy people.

keep getting calls from this number, quite annoying!! Have no idea what its about but want them to STOP CALLING ME!!  Very vague, probably phishing for info & all sorts.

I received a call from this number, a man told  me it was a legal matter, and that it was place on his desk.  He tries to sound important, I don't believe him, and I told him I am from Detroit, if he comes he better bring some help because I am ready for him.

I received these calls also. They didn't say who they were calling for, so I ignored the first two. Then I was called twice by David. I returned the call around 9pm, thinking I could leave him a message. It only rang, and it wasn't a normal sounding ring. It was "double time" ringing. What's going on? I'm on the national do not call list, and I'm getting these calls on a land line not a cell phone. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.

I get the same call from david wells about a legal matter. I don't answer.I'm in the FORT MYERS, FL AREA.

same here just a phone call did not say what it really was about only said it importion i dont answer them kind of calls.it has to be a scam.here can take what every he's trying to sell or give me and dtick it where the sun doesn't shine!!!!!

This gentleman left the name of David Wells and said it was some sort of legal matter. Was suspicious because he didn't leave the name of the company he was working for and didn't use our names. Read other accounts and found out this is a scam. This time of year brings them all out doesn't it?

I am tired of receiving phone calls from this phone #.  They are calling my daughters phone.

Just retrived a call from my voice mail at home.  Called back from my office phone number.  Stephanie answered and wanted to know who was calling.  I did not give my name, just asked for the name of the firm and she told me it was.... Chewnth Cowlins and Sanders a law firm..... no such firm could be found on Google.  When I told her I was gooling it, she immediately hung up.  So much for wanting to talk to me....
These folks need to be stopped.  Any suggestions anyone?

Do Not Call list doesn't seem to work!  I recently renewed and started getting these harassing calls from "Amber Knight" and "David Wells."  These scammers are extremely annoying.

"mr Wells"  had a "legally required notice for me"     didn't answer when his  "important legal message" call was returned

We have recieved the exact same message from David Wells and Amber Knight asking to verify our information for a file they have recieved. They don't use our name or state who they are trying to reach. Weird.

I'm glad I found this page. I too have been receiving the same ominous message about legal stuff from both of these individuals. I just reregistered for Do Not Call list. If it was truly a legal matter, they would identify their firm. Going to get in touch with my carrier & have them blocked. I don't answer numbers that I don't know, even if they're in my own area code.

these dumbasses keep calling me and asking for someone whom I don't even know.  i just told them to remove my number..  idiots.

I reported these numbers to the State Attoney General's Office of Consumer Affairs and gave them the link to this blog.  I asked that they look into what Amber and David are doing.  If they get back to me I will let you folks know.

I also received two calls, yesterday and today, from Amber and David Wells askingthe same things.  Has anyone, especially a VA resient, reported these clowns to the VA Departent of Consumer Affairs (or equivalent) or to the Sate Attorney General's office.  Seems like a clear case of harassment.
