Somebody called my dad at 1 am and tried to convince him he was calling from his bank to help him get rid of his credit card debts. Thank God my dad is still well aware even though he is 67 years old or else he might have given him his credit card number!

I can tell you the real story behind these calls folks because I have a friend which worked in this company as a trainer and he quit when he moved back in the US  .My mom used to get these phone calls and even now she receives such phone calls but now she knows the truth and not to provide any info over the phone .  A company called Centro Global Solutions owned by a guy named Hisham Farag ( aka Sean Farag ) whom is an American citizen even though he's an Egyptian .  He used to have lots of medical businesses in the US the past decades . He sold his company , returned to Egypt and created this new company . He made a deal with the USHS ( US Healthcare supply ) from NJ . He's using egyptians and foreigners in his call center  .  As agents the job is pretty simple : they obtain lists of numbers which they put it in their automatic dialer, such as Eyebeam ( google )  and that's how you get tens of calls per day/week/month from different numbers but same people or organization . It's job is to "convince" you to get transferred to the next campaign ( company ) HPAS which they will transfer you to the provider where they'll get your doc's info ( name ; phone and fax no ; address , NPI etc ) and they do a thing called " insurance check " which means they get your medicare claim no ( or SSN ) and put it the Medicare System ( or Pipe Line ) where it will show if your medical company / companies will provide you 100 % coverage for any medical equipment , if qualified by them and your doctor of course .
Once they get your doctor approval they should send you the package thought the US Mail at the mailing address / PO BOX that you provide or confirm with them .

His company has this website : www.centroglobalsolutions.com and says it's located in Fairfax , VA . There are plans that soon  they might open another call center in that city as well , besides the one he owns in Egypt .

I made a complaint and I invite you all people to do the same .

I received a call from them at around 7:40. To be honest I screwed with them for a bit and pretended to be a senior citizen. Eventually I broke character and told them that I wanted to be put on a do not call list, and that I would keep screwing with them every time they called. Interestingly, after a brief heated exchange, the man on the other line said that he would "keep calling" in a defiant tone. Interesting stuff.

The number was *69'ed

I copied Newt's description because it was nearly the same scenario in the call I got.

"Got a call and it asked if I had diabetes or back pain.  If 'yes' press 1 and if 'No' press 2 to be removed, so I  pressed 2 to be removed.  When I asked, the (man) said the name of the company is 'American Seniors Assistance' or 'American Senior Assistance'.  With (his) accent I couldn't quite tell if the Senior was plural or not.  Looked it up on google and couldn't find it."

The guy was very persistent, even after I told him I hit prompt "2" with the intention of removal.  He continued to ask if I had any medical conditions.  Didn't seem to understand when I told him it was none of his business. When I told him I intended to report to FTC, he hung up, of course.

Caller ID showed the call came from 849 965-5896 in Washington, DC

My call came from 849 / 965-5896 = SAME scenario, different phone number from 'Chester'.
NOTE:  LOKI from 21 Jun 2012 has done the Research !!  Thank You.  I only got as far as him identifying the company as "American Seniors Assistance".  When I asked the address and contact phone number he hung up !!

Burn these Scammers and Con Artists !  They are only trying to get Medicare numbers to falsely bill for unneeded equipment and FRAUD, next it will be identity theft with your S.S. #.

Report to authorities = I am !!

I have gotten two calls from a company that says they are "American Seniors Assistance". I could not get their phone number as they are blocking caller ID and *69. But they use a recorded message and then ask questions about Diabetes and back pain. Read the post below by "Loki" as I think it describes what is happening. The short version is that it seems like an off-shore company is generating illegal telemarketing leads for possibly honest US companies.

If you have the time, please post your story here and on other sites like this. And report all telemarketing calls that violate the DNC rules, even if you cannot provide the number. I am fairly sure the Feds can get the information they need from the phone company if there are enough complaints. The more we speak up and report fraud and abuse, the more attention the government will pay to them and shut them down.

US Health care supply uses over seas call centers.  I have a problem with this because not only are they ripping off Medicare for back braces that are often put together with Gorilla Glue and Duck Tape.  They charge  1200.00 for a brace that was designed by the owner with no medical training.  Everyone on Medicare/Medicaid has to do their part to contain costs, this company is part of the problem.  They are part of the former Oxford Diabetic, DIabetic Experts

Same story. Phone call from 849-963-4865, recorded message tells me to push 2 on the phone if not interested and want my name removed.  I clicked  2 and the rep began giving me a sales pitch. I told her I pushed 2 to get my name and number removed whereupon she hung up.

I received a call from "American Senior Assistance" today. I Googled the name and found out that it is a call coming in from the Dominican Republic. They have established this company in the Dominican Republic because they can get through to you even if you have registered your phone with the National Do Not Call Registry. Then with a little more research...yes I'm persistent...I found that I can manage anonymous calls with my Comcast account using this link. Thank God for Comcast ~!~  I'm sure that this can be accomplished though your own telephone companies but I just happen to have Comcast.

I didn't purse contact with the person on the line but I'm a retired nurse and I know the Medicare system pretty well and know that you don't order things through telemarketers, however I did lead her on enough to get the information I needed to block her or her bogus company from calling me again.  Thank you all for reporting this to the Office of the Inspector General.

I got this same call today. I have registered my phone number on the national do not call list. I pressed 2 to have my name removed from the list, but a woman came on the line, then she hung up abruptly when I mentioned that I was only trying to remove my number.

Let's forward all such calls to our congressional representatives until this nonsense stops.

I just received the call, also.  Same situation, it was a prerecorded and said to press 1 if you have diabetes or back pain. Press 2 for no.
When I pressed 1, a man who identified himself as 'Mark Howard' started his spiel.  I politely interrupted him and asked for the name of the business, and a phone that I could call back, in case we were cut off.  He told me a quick BS about not being able to call them back, so I asked where they were from.  His answer was Fairfax, VA.

When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he wanted to know why.  I started to explain that I have been on the National Do Not Call Registry since its inception, and that this was an illegal telemarketing call.  He promptly hung up on me.

I Googled their name, and have come with several different phone numbers in different area codes.  One that I did find in Fairfax, VA. is 703-844-1212.

Folks, the only thing that is going to stop these s.o.b.'s is to sue them in Small Claims Court.  My research shows that about 99% of these cases are successful.   The judgement that you receive starts at $1500.00, and another $1500.00 is added for various parts of the DNC law that they have broken.
If they don't show up, you automatically win.  It's a 'default judgement'.  I've made a few bucks from these scum already, and I'm going back to court to file several more.
By the way, the court fees, etc. that you pay to file a case, will come back to you if you win.  The defendant has to pay them.

Good luck to all.

This bunch is indeed scammers who signed on to help US Healthcare Supply.  They had bought out another company's list who had gotten in trouble with Medicare for fraud.  No one would answer the customer care phone of two different numbers.  I finally picked another choice and got a foreigner who said he would remove me from the list.  I have reported them to the HHS fraud hotline.  These are boiler room robocalls, and they try to get you to give permission to call Medicare by pushing 1.  If you don't give permission you are told to punch #2, but nothing happens and you are told this is not a proper choice.  They want to catch old people by them pushing #1.  The foreign guy also tried to sell me a back brace.  DEFINITELY A SCAM!
