Offered the same deal via PayPal for furniture we listed on craigslist. Some people got nothing better to do...im sure they will read this so change your number and go find a real job jack***

Just got a text from the same number just like the rest of you the area code looked different I also looked it up and found this thanks everyone for your advice I texted them back and just told them the item was sold ...

This number just tried to scam me also. The area code indicates the scammer is located in the Arlington, Virginia area. Anytime the person says that someone will pick up an item for them, it has always been a scam. People need to be careful about selling things online.

I just got a text from this number about furniture that I had for sale on Craigslist.  Thought it was suspicious because of the area code, so I decided to look it up and I am glad I did!  Thanks everyone for posting that this was a scammer!

Same here.  When I asked for contact info he said David Myers, but then put my phone number down.  WHAT??  lol  I've told them cash on pick up; no paypal.  Glad I found this site.  I'm sure I won't hear back.

I am selling a car on Craigslist and received a text message from this number wanting to buy it.  I then looked up the area code and then found this site, I will surely not speak with  the person now.

Just got text on my item placed on Craigslist from this number. Will not deal with them after reading these posts.

I have been texting back and forth with these people for a couple days about an item I have on craigslist.com. They wanted me to set up PayPal so I did and they sent me a verification E-mail with the money on there. When I checked PayPal there was no money so this number is a scam. I found a lot of reports about it so do not trust anyone from it.

This is the second call I have gotten from these scammers from Virginia in the last 24 hours!!!  So tired of it!!  Does anyone go after these guys after we report them?

They just sent me a text for my safe off of craigslist trying to scam me too ty so much for these posts will not mess with them anymore.

Just happened to me too! Sooo glad I looked up the number. I was so close to selling them my table on Craigslist! It was definitely suspicious. Scammers.

I also had someone trying to purchase something from me on craigslist stating that their purchasing agent would pick it up. They asked that I setup a paypal account and they would pay me that way. When I asked about a cash deal on pick up, I have not heard from them again. Total Scam....

Someone from this number tried to scam me on an item I'm trying to sell on the internet.  They first agreed to the purchase and that they would pay for "a shipping agent" to pick the item up.  They then changed the agreement to them sending me additional money on paypal to pay their agent.  When I told them I would need to wait until the money cleared my bank and that I would not agree to paying the shipping agent, I never heard from them again.

Total scam!
