He is using a new phone number now. 571-969-7558 Please watch out for this number from Jim Jack!! Red Flag went up when he said he would add on money to the sale which would make no sense because he could go and buy the item new if he did that. hahaha stupid scammers. He said it was a birthday gift for a friend. I hope there is no one out there that has been taken advantage of by this scam.

Recently received a text from this very number (571-969-7518) after posting an ad on Craig's List! This person text me (going by the name Eric Moore) wanting to buy my tv for a friend's surprise birthday gift...

He says in his text, "My mod of payment will be through PayPal because it is fast for a safe, secure, reliable transaction and easy..." Keep in mind, that in my add I specifically said CASH ONLY!

So I appreciate those that posted complaints about the spammer! Continue to keep your minds sharp and warn others... Thanks you!

Same stupid story about an offshore engineer and a gift for his son.  Only txt me though.  I will try to call him later today just to tell him off.

What does he know about me?  I sent him a PayPal invoice with my home address.  He has my e-mail address as well and my cell phone number.  I'm seriously concerned about what these nuts may do with my information?  Of course I didn't fall for the scam but I see how other may.

What can we do to stop these scammers?  He used the same number to txt me as well.

Any advise or comments please?  Thanks.

He really had me going until he sent me a PayPal request to send him 900 so he could credit my account with  the balance.

Jim Jack (571-969-7518) emailed me twice on a craigslist item I had for sale. He asked for my cell number to send a text with information. I got this lengthy text about how he was buying this item for his friend as a birthday gift, blah blah blah. These Nigerian scammers are morons, my posting has information in it to catch up any scammers and he played right into it. Reported his number and routing information. I really cant get over how stupid these scammers have become, they really are so lazy. Don't fall for this or any other persons scam. Like previous posts say, always be cautious and double check all the info. Best Rule- Never ship anything on craigslist, always meet in person.

I am selling an embroidery machine and "Jack" or whoever this person is sent me a message saying he was really interested in buying the machine and could he have my number so he could text me about it....yes stupid me sent him my number and he sent me a text today saying ....this is exactly how it was sent "This is Jim Jack I'm seriously interested in buying this for my son and am okay with your selling price, I'm a petroleium engineer and currently offshore I really want this as a birthday gift for my son so I won't let him know anything about this until it get delivered to him You can text me back with your PayPal email address or send me money invoice via PayPal so I can make the payment to you right now and if you don't have an account with PayPal you can...????? that was it......

A man by the name of Jim Jack (haha) is texting me from this number (571)969-7518 and trying to get me to send him an item that I have for sale on craigslist after he said that he would pay through my PayPal account. When I received an email from my PayPal stating that funds were pending I immediately saw a red flag. This is what the bottom of the PayPal email reads:

Selling a boat and same thing he is a scammer trying to get my pay pal info don't trust this guy!

This guy says his name is Eric Leo and he wants to buy a crown tonka walk in freezer for about 8000.  He sends a fake email claiming it to be from Paypal, but is is bogus.  He says in order to complete the transaction I need to send $1000 for shipping and PayPal will release the funds.  How stupid does this idiot think I am?  I told him after I collect the millions I won from the Nigerian lottery, he can have his money!
Never send money to a person who you don't know.  Always check PayPal and login to your account to verify funds.  And most important, never send an item to a person claiming to have paid without verifying it first.

I got a text from this number since I am selling my car on craigslist. The person on the other end is trying to say they want the car for their son as a b-day gift and want me to provide my Pay Pal acct, which I did not, for them to send cash and have someone pick up the car. The guy says he is a "petroleum engineer" working overseas.....yeah right! Beware this is a craigslist scam....
