called my house all i got was static

This phone call was from Regina with the Missouri Dept of Conservation.  She was returning a call that I made to their office last week.  This phone call was okay.  It was NOT a prank call.

Department of Corrections for Missouri. I left a message for them yesterday and they were returning my call.

they called my work and they have been calling for the past couple of days i think even on saturday. every time we pickup it always static so we would hangup. but this pass time i waited just to see what would happen and then all the sudden a lady with a soft voice answered and ask for andrew thompson. i told her that she had the wrong number she said thanks and goodbye.

i just got a call from this # but i didnt answer it b/c i thought the 000 was kind of suspicious. I figured if it was important they would leave a message.

My sister keeps getting calls from this number.  The first two times all she could her was static, then sounded like someone coughing at the end of the call.  I was talking with her on the phone about this, when she received another call.  She clicked over on call waiting to answer it and all she could here was Beethoven music.  As if she were put on hold.  Homeland security maybe?  My guess is some some lazy ****** working for the government is on an autodialer and not doing their job!

This is what is displayed whenever one of any of several Missouri state government employees make a call...

I called Missouri Game and Fish earlier today.

They just called back...I saw the caller ID and did not pick up because of the weird 000 prefix but it was them as they left a voice mail.

As for the notes from Kansas Dude above about Christina Farmer---they probably called the wrong number but it was a legit call from the state

Got a call from this number today - Oct. 9th, 2007 - Caller, when I inquired as to how they got this number, said that "they were returning a voicemail message from a Christina Farmer." I asked the same question twice, and got the same answer. I told them there was no one here by that name, and that this was an unlisted number and not to call back. I then promptly hung up. Whatever you do, do NOT say anything other than "DO NOT CALL BACK" Any answer in the affirmative, will and can be construed as a verbal agreement to whatever they are trying to market.  BE CAREFUL!

I got a call for this number, no message. you cannot return the call back to answer it and find out who they are or why they called me. IT appear TO BE FROM Jefferson city mo.. (ISN'T 573 an area code for Jefferson city)

On July 25 @ 1014 and Aug 22 2007 @ 1329 I received a caller ID call 573 000 0751

Aug 15 at 5:59pm phone rang with caller ID 573-000-0751 but only let it ring 3 times before hanging up.

I got a call from that # too.  Who is it?  What do they want?  How'd they get my phone #?
